Saturday night service.
[0:00] Amen. How many is glad to be in the house of the Lord this evening? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It's such a pleasure to be able to come back home. Amen. And feel the spirit of God and to see people still shouting and still running and still praising. Hallelujah. And still magnifying and still lifting up the name of Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah. And now I got a question for you. Are we still a shouting church over the word as well? Amen.
[0:27] Hallelujah. Somebody give a big shout. Hallelujah for the word of God. Amen. That is sharper than any two inches short that I'm cutting about. Hallelujah. That will be applied to our lives so that we can be better Christians. Amen. But most of all, most of all, most of all, it doesn't matter how many times we've read the book. Amen.
[0:50] It doesn't matter how prolific you are. It doesn't matter how much you have a photographic memory. I don't care how intelligent you are this evening. Amen. Hallelujah. I don't care how decorated your office walls are with certificates. Hallelujah. I don't care what kind of house you live in or if it's in a subdivision or an apartment or in the projects. Hallelujah.
[1:18] Or in a tent over on the floor wall. Amen. Hallelujah. I don't care how many digits you bring home on your paycheck in a year's time. Hallelujah.
[1:30] It still don't put you in a different category with Jesus. So may I give the Lord a big hand of praise. Hallelujah. No matter what you accomplish here on planet earth outside of your spirituality has nothing to do with Jesus Christ tonight.
[1:48] So may I give the Lord a big hand of praise. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It's good to see a church that's still on fire. Amen. In a time such as this. And the Lord knows we are in a time. Amen. Hallelujah.
[2:04] But we're in a time where there is a select few that are still holding up the banner of Jesus Christ. Out declaring the truth and what's right and what's wrong. Amen.
[2:16] And hallelujah and still being able to preach it and apply it with love. Amen. You see, the Christians in today's world has been retrained how to preach the Word of God.
[2:32] Hallelujah. The ministers in this world today has been reprogrammed. I've got to be popular. I've got to receive clicks.
[2:46] I've got to get on social media. I've got to get the views. And if I'm not getting the views that I want, I want to pay money and I want to boost the... Come on, somebody. I'm preaching to you tonight.
[2:58] And I feel the Holy Ghost and I know the Holy Ghost is behind it. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So they do everything that they can to get in their pocket. And to get their point across. Hallelujah.
[3:08] And to sell their true twist of what we call the KJV. Amen. Hallelujah. But I was told, I was told many years ago, that none of you preach the Word.
[3:22] Hallelujah. And you stay born and a fall. The smoke will never satisfy. And I'm here, 20-some years greater, preaching the Word of God.
[3:34] Because somebody help me preach in here tonight. The reason... The reason that I'm able to stand before you today...
[3:47] All I'm going to go show up is I had a preacher preaching a button. I had somebody telling the truth inside of me.
[4:00] And it's stuck, Brother James. It's stuck. It's stuck. I hear that voice. Every Saturday.
[4:12] Every Sunday morning. Come on. Jesus. I said, I'm thinking plain. Come on. Come on. Hey, boy.
[4:29] Hey. Come on. Come on. You want to roll like me? Hey. Yeah. Hey, boy. Yeah.
[4:42] He said... You need to get up. Come on. Come on. You need to read the Word of God.
[5:00] Come on. You need to prepare. You need to get ready. One of these days...
[5:12] I'm not going to be... Come on, somebody. Come on. One of these days... Thank you, Lord. I'm not going to be around. Come on, man. But, Teresa, can I be truthful with you all?
[5:24] Yeah. Come on. Come on. You know, I'm still grieving. Amen. I'm grieving. And, you know, I still grieve so hard. Yeah. And I owe you all an apology.
[5:37] I do. I owe you an open apology because... There's times where I just didn't want to talk to nobody.
[5:51] Let me set this down. There's been times that I was grieving and I didn't even show it. But Pat Paul done everything that he could to prepare me because we would be out and we would be driving around even down the little more.
[6:09] We'd go out past Green Rivers. And religiously, we'd pull into a little graveyard.
[6:25] He'd pull back here and there'd be a guy's tombstone by the name of Lyndall Hinton. And Pat Paul would tell me this with his own mouth. Nana knows. Nana's heard it.
[6:36] He loved his daddy Woody with all his heart. But you have a special relationship with your spiritual father. It's different. I can't explain it, but it is different.
[6:50] And it's so true. It's so true. It's so true. This isn't even my message. I don't know how I got off on this. But I'd crawl out of that bed.
[7:06] Right here in this church in the back. Not one Saturday.
[7:18] Not two Saturdays in the road, Brother James. He had years of Saturdays. And years of Saturdays. And years. And years. And years.
[7:28] And years. And you know, when you're young, you watch people. You know, I had a reputation, me and my brother, of being like people around here shouting.
[7:43] Because we watched them. We watched everybody. But he'd get up. And I'm murdered.
[7:54] Yeah. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Every move that man made.
[8:10] Yeah. Come on. He'd get up and get a shower. After he'd get out of the shower, he'd go to the coffee pot. Matter of fact, he'd turn the coffee pot on before he'd go get in the shower so he'd have a cup of coffee.
[8:23] He'd get out of the shower, dry off, go get the coffee. I know I'm probably weeding some of y'all out of here. Come on, Dad. Come on. I'm just being truthful. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. He knew exactly how much to put in there to fill that cup up.
[8:40] Yeah. Where he didn't waste him. What? He walked by. After working 50, 60 hours all week now.
[8:51] Yeah. Yeah. Very good. Pinned himself in that office. Yes. And I'd hear him say, Jesus, forgive me of all that I've done and open up my mind of understanding and let me get something to preach.
[9:13] I'm telling you, I don't know anybody like that anymore. Come on. I don't know anybody. I'm talking about true blue. Yeah. He put them old songs on.
[9:31] He put a little vest of Goodman on for a little while. Yeah. You got it. And I tell you one, he always wore out his well.
[9:42] Well, you can always find us people. With a few religious people. With a preacher on the front steps shaking everybody's hand.
[9:55] With a sign shaped like a Bible. That says summer revival. But there's a million dead churches just filling up an acre of land.
[10:07] And what we need is a solo filling station. A full service open 24 hours a day.
[10:21] Come on, y'all. Clap with me. Pumping up that high, high octane of super salvation. You all know? Yeah. But anyhow, here we are.
[10:38] Several years later still preaching the Word of God. Still preaching it the way we was taught. Amen. Hallelujah. We're going to bring forth the Word tonight. Hopefully in a fire, fireful way.
[10:49] Amen. Because we know that we were born in the fire, honey. And the smoke will never satisfy. Hallelujah. No matter where you go or what you do in life.
[10:59] Don't you ever settle for a watered down water. Hallelujah. You are trained. You are caught up up on something in a higher. You are trained.
[11:11] Hallelujah. Don't settle for less. Amen. Don't ever settle for less. And guess what? You ain't going to find it everywhere.
[11:24] You ain't going to find it everywhere, buddy. If you have your Bibles with you tonight, I'd like for you to turn to the book of John, the fourth chapter. How many of you have ever grieved before?
[11:36] People grieve in different ways. Amen. They do. They do. I preach up, blow my nose like.
[11:50] Stop. Now, the pebble had heavy's neck. Amen. Let me make sure if he's with me here and I may have some nose spray in my pocket.
[12:12] John chapter 4 says, When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, though Jesus Himself baptized not, but His disciples.
[12:36] I want you to stop right there. That was one of the first verses that Papaw ever taught me. Wow. You know why, Brother Seth? No. Guess when He taught?
[12:48] I'll never forget it. No. He taught it to me in December. There were some people wanting to get baptized. That water was gone.
[13:00] Hey, I'm just being honest with you. That water was freezing, Brother. And we had just filled that bag because it was blowing up in December. And He said, Do you know that His disciples had baptized?
[13:12] And I said, No, thank you. He said, You don't understand. You ain't got no choice. You see?
[13:24] And it's just not me. It's you all too. He believed in you. And He believes in you. Amen. She pushed you to no limit to drill this thing called religion inside of you.
[13:38] But I didn't have the nerve. I didn't want to get up. I didn't want to preach the Word. Now check this out because He always told me. He said, I want to put preaching on my worst enemy. And He's doing everything He could to get me to preach.
[13:49] I'm sitting there going, What in the world is going on here? But I kind of found it unique as I was studying this week and I read the Scripture.
[13:59] We'll read just a little more. But He left Judea and departed and again to Galilee. And He must needs go through Samaria and then cometh to the city of Samaria which is called Sychar near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave his son Joseph.
[14:21] Now Jacob's well was there. Look at somebody and say, Jacob's well was there. Amen. Hallelujah. I'm going to preach this evening on this myth that be careful what you look for because it just might be in front of you.
[14:43] Amen. Hallelujah. Be careful what you're looking for because it just might be in front of you. Now Jacob's well, look at somebody and say, was there.
[14:55] Jesus therefore being wearied with his journey sat thus on the well and it was about the sixth hour. Look at somebody say, sixth hour. Sixth hour.
[15:06] Okay. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Amen. And Jesus saith unto her, give me a drink, give me to drink.
[15:19] For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat. Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it, how is it that thou being a Jew askest, drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria?
[15:39] And for the Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, if you know the gift of God, church, hallelujah, for if you know, if thou had knew the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, hallelujah, and, and he would have given, thee living water.
[16:17] The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. For she had looked at him and said, For sir, thou hast nothing to draw with.
[16:34] In other words, you came here to the well, you're asking for water, and your plans weren't, come on somebody, y'all, stay with me. Hallelujah. And you were thorough, first, so you came to get a drink of water.
[16:49] Amen. Hallelujah. Up on your arrival at the water, I guess she had just hoped that there was something there to draw the well.
[17:01] Hallelujah. And get some water to drink. Hallelujah. But I'm here to tell you tonight, honey, that when she went to the well, that when she went to the well, come on somebody, come on somebody, y'all help me preach.
[17:20] She didn't go for no drink of water. She didn't, she didn't go, hallelujah, because she was a thirst in the natural realm. But there was a man named Jesus Christ.
[17:35] Come on now. Come on. In other words, if I had to put my country boy terms into it, I would probably have titled this message, the well at the well.
[17:47] Come on somebody. The well at the well. Come on. Come on. Come on. How many of you have searched your whole life for something?
[18:08] Come on. And you've never found it. Well, guess what? I'm going to speak for you tonight.
[18:20] Every one of you in this room has searched for something that you've never found. There are people, Sister Ravonna, in this room that has never found true love.
[18:39] Might be because of their looks. I don't know. I just like that. Might be because of too much makeup. No, I'll leave makeup on.
[18:49] Every old bar needs a little pain every now and then. But how many have searched for something that you've never found?
[19:05] You see, in the spiritual realm of your life, what happens? You heard this song? I heard I sing this song over the years. The more I seek you, the more I find you, the more I find you, the more I love you.
[19:26] Yeah, y'all sing. I want to sit at your feet, drink from the cup in your hand, lay back again, shoot and breathe, and feel your heart beat.
[19:45] Look like you need a kiss. Deep, it is more than I can stand. I'm merrily than your heart. So church, saying that to say yes, if you search for something all of your life and you've wondered, and you've mirrored people as well, amen, and you've looked and you've seen their happiness.
[20:11] Maybe you wanted their happiness, amen, but maybe their happiness is not your happiness, amen, hallelujah, maybe their ways is not your ways. Hallelujah, the Bible does say seek and you shall find, but I do know this much, Brother James, that if I'm going in a direction, hallelujah, and I'm searching for something I can't find, sooner or later, I'm going to have to change directions, hallelujah, and get back on course, hallelujah, and find what God wants me to do and where He wants me to be, amen.
[20:40] Give the Lord a big hand and pray. Stop spending your whole life in the natural realm chasing for something that you'll never find in the direction that you're headed.
[20:53] Hallelujah. And it'll never be there. And it'll never be there. You see, when she went to the well, in the natural realm, it seems that she had came unprepared.
[21:17] Right? Right? Seems that she had came with nothing to draw from. But as a matter of fact, the Bible says that when she got there, if she had something to draw with, she couldn't get into it anyway because He was sitting on top of it.
[21:41] come on somebody, I'll preach it to you tonight. If she wanted to bypass Him and still draw from the well, she couldn't have because He was...
[21:52] Somebody help me preach in this house tonight. She could not have drawn from the natural spring if she wanted to. there was somebody there blocking it, sis.
[22:06] There was somebody there sitting on top of it, Brother David. Hallelujah. Why? Because in her spiritual room, she was dying of thirst. Have you ever been dying of thirst? Come on, don't be so righteous in here tonight.
[22:18] Have you ever been to a point in your life where you were in a desert? Have you ever been to a point in your life where your soil was dry? Come on, I'm going to preach to you anyway.
[22:30] You hear me? Hallelujah. Have you ever been to a point in your life where it didn't seem like you could go anywhere? Have you ever been to a point in your life where you couldn't find answers?
[22:48] Have you ever been to a place in your life where you prayed and you prayed and you prayed and you couldn't find no answer? Have you ever read a dry spot where you walk up, you lay hands on somebody and you prayed for them anyway but didn't feel a thing?
[23:05] But you had to make yourself go because you're called. I'm going to preach to you tonight. Have you ever got an attitude 30 seconds before you go and pray for somebody and not get yourself together and get yourself right before you go and lay and touch hands?
[23:23] Come on. Come on. Come on. These are things that the church is facing. It's things that the world is facing. But as I was studying and as I was praying as I was down on that floor I heard a voice come up and tell me in my ear, Son I'm not finished yet.
[23:44] I'm not finished yet. I'm not finished yet. Hallelujah. Somebody holler to the top of your lungs at the devil and say I'm not finished. I'm not finished yet.
[23:57] I'm not finished yet. Hallelujah. Are you? Do you mean what you say? Yes. Hallelujah. How many in here tonight? How many in here tonight means 100% what you say?
[24:08] If you listen to me, you're going to see your eyes opened up. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You're going to see miracles performed.
[24:19] You're going to see that removed. Amen. God is not finished yet.
[24:30] God is not finished yet. But church, please listen to me. What we do, I'm going to preach to you here tonight. Hallelujah. I'm not only preaching to you, I'm preaching to myself.
[24:41] Church, we harbor way too many spirits. Church, we entertain way too many spirits. we entertain way too many spirits from Lucifer.
[24:59] Hallelujah. It could be what's on our radios. It could be what's on our televisions. It could be what's on our telephones. But I'm here to tell you, you're allowing those things to hinder you from your walk.
[25:15] God wants to take you. That's all right. Go ahead and praise. Go, praise him. We got to drive them spirits out of here.
[25:29] We got to drive them spirits away. go ahead, just let it go. I'm not going to hide. You let it go. We got to get to the point where we say devil.
[25:50] I'm crazy. Where we say devil. You get out them doors.
[26:05] Right now in the name of Jesus. No weapon fought against this church shall prosper. Devil, get your hands off of this congregation.
[26:16] Get your hands off of every lips. Come on, somebody. I need some prayer warriors. I need somebody to buy the chains of darkness. Don't cut it off, church.
[26:36] This doesn't come by this way very often. find you a prayer partner tonight.
[26:57] Find you somebody. See God. enough is enough.
[27:09] I'm messing with spirits that bind us and so easily beset us. God. You have heard me tell this story before.
[27:24] And I believe it with all my heart. I'm going to say it again because there's probably people here that's never heard it. There was a gentleman by the name of Lester Summerall,! Well-known minister.
[27:36] Matter of fact, he was Rob Parsley's minister. That's who he came up under. Lester Summerall went overseas on a mission. They put him up in a shack in the low shack.
[27:47] No air conditioner, bro-chef, no nothing. First night, 1200 gave their heart to God. The second night was around 1500.
[27:58] It was grown. After Brother Lester Summerall came back to his shack the second night, he went in and he laid in the bed. And all of a sudden, he felt his being started shaking.
[28:19] Has the devil ever done that to you? I'll test you. I'll give you a test. Has the devil ever done that to you?
[28:30] If he's not, you're not being a good enough Christian. You're not praying hard enough. He's not scared of you. Amen. When he begins to bother you, when he begins to bother you, when he begins to wake you up in the midnight hour, you are considered a threat.
[28:50] You are a threat. Look at Shimea and say you're a threat to the devil. Brother Lester Summerall comes back to the shack.
[29:07] No air conditioners. windows and has some curtains. He pops open the windows. Takes the curtains and hangs them up because the wind is blowing in.
[29:21] It's so hot he needs some air. He's awakened by his bed. Rattling. true story.
[29:35] True story. He wakes up Rattling. Rattling. His bed has been shifted to the middle of the room.
[29:47] He looks over to the walls and the curtains. The wind began to roar. And it began to blow them curtains. And he got up out of that bed.
[29:57] And he said, Oh my God. Oh my God. Devil, I bind you in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow.
[30:09] And I call upon the name of the Lord and rebuke you to get off of this ministry. And then all of a sudden, the wind quit blowing, the drapes shut back down, and the bed quit shaking.
[30:21] telling you it's the truth. After he walked out after, you hear me, devil?
[30:38] Don't you think the devil won't interfere? Devil, I'm going to preach this message where I've got this microphone in my hand, or I don't. I don't care about this microphone.
[30:49] I don't care about those speakers. I don't care. We're going to preach this truth. And the church said, do free.
[31:00] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you. All of a sudden, he jumps up. He binds the devil and rebukes him in the name of Jesus.
[31:15] The curtains fall back down. And he sat back down in his bed. And he thought, man, what an experience.
[31:29] How frightening could that have been? And the more he sat there and he thought about it, the more mad he got.
[31:46] Verse 7, he jumped up by that bed. He walked over to the door just like this. He said, devil, what do you think you're doing?
[32:01] You get back in here and move that bed back over there where you are. Some of you need your bed. Move back in the right place. Some of you need your bed.
[32:20] Push back over to the right place. I'm not close.
[32:50] In other words, here is what I came to tell you. I haven't preached this hard in a long time. Come on.
[33:00] Come on. Come on. We've got four dogs. Come on. Be right. That's my dog. Is this alright tonight?
[33:13] Come on. Amen. Great job. All the dogs. Yes. Come on. Is this alright?
[33:26] Yes. In other words, here is what I'm trying to tell you. Brother James, come here. I want you to help me. Brother Seth, come here. I want you to help me.
[33:37] You stand over here with me. Brother Seth, you stand over here with me. You stand right beside Brother James. You're going to form a chart. Amen.
[33:49] They may not look the same, but they are representing the same person. Amen. Both of you all walk with me at the same time.
[34:02] When they get saved as newborn babies in Christ, in order for them to have been saved, they have to do three things. The man, believe, confess. Amen.
[34:14] Those three things have to happen before you can be saved. You have to believe that Jesus Christ died and rose on the cross for your sins. You have to be willing to repent of your wrong doings.
[34:30] Hallelujah. Brother Van taught me to say, Lord, forgive me of all my sins. Listen, you can't name your sins one by one. You've got way too many.
[34:41] I do too. Trust me. Amen. You'll forget one, I promise. Amen. Amen. Amen. But as they have believed, repent, confessed, their sins, I'm just going to be honest with you, it's very easy to be a Christian when you're first saved.
[35:11] I can show you in the Bible. And the reason being is because you've started this journey and you're fresh. You're on fire.
[35:23] Everything that the preacher says it makes you want to shout. Everything that the preacher has to do, you want to do it. You're on fire. You're fresh. Just like in the natural realm.
[35:34] A basketball player ain't as fresh as he is at the end of the game as he is at the beginning. At the end of the game, as far further as the game goes on, you get more tired.
[35:46] You get more accustomed. You think that you find different tricks. Come on somebody. They'll represent the same person. But as soon as Brother James hits a blood block, hallelujah, and it stumbles, hallelujah, and he hasn't repented.
[36:10] Hallelujah. Come on somebody. Sometimes our sins get the best of us. Come on. Nobody in here is holier than that.
[36:22] Hallelujah. If you was, you wouldn't have sinned in the first place. Because the Lord has given you the right tools. Hallelujah. Who was this talking about the full armor of God? Hallelujah.
[36:32] In the full armor of God, hallelujah, that if it was used correctly, then you wouldn't even sin to begin with. Sometimes we lay down our armor. Amen. The armor will only protect you as long as you allow it.
[36:50] And you're facing the direction so it can. But if you turn your back, come on somebody. So it's Brother James.
[37:02] He gets a stumbling block. Hallelujah. And he stays in the same place. Come on with me, Brother James. we automatically think that because we've backslid and gave up on God.
[37:17] Let me stand there. That we've gave up on God. Now for someone, I'm going to talk to you 40-year-old Christians. Hallelujah. 50-year-old Christians.
[37:29] Hallelujah. That's been saved a real long time. Because there is a stubborn spirit. Hallelujah. If the Lord can teach a rock, come on. Come on. We don't know it all.
[37:42] And just because you've been saved 30 years, don't mean that you have a special place in heaven. Come on somebody. I know somebody. Shut up the car. Let's be saved five minutes.
[37:54] Hallelujah. You are automatic. Come on somebody. Let me preach it. Amen. But our natural minds tend to make us think, listen, that because we fail, it's so hard for us to get back up and reach the spot where God has intended us to be.
[38:17] Hallelujah. But through love, through grace, through mercy, through forgiveness, hallelujah, He never stopped loving you.
[38:28] Come on somebody. He never stopped loving you. Matter of fact, He just kept on following, following, following, until you said, hey, I'm done. I'm done running. Alright guys, thank you very much.
[38:48] So what I'm thinking about doing tonight, how many is hungry? How many want some pizza? I'm thinking about going on my back here and settling in pizzas like Jesus said on the whale.
[39:01] Come on. Freak. I'm going out here and settling in pizzas for a little while. Yeah, nothing like a good, a little, good humor.
[39:12] That being said, church, it's just simple. We've got to get back to the place and be a memo flow.
[39:29] Yes. Yes. Huh? I'm telling the truth here. And be an aunt and be a sister treva. Hey, Brother James, I love you with all my heart.
[39:44] And you know, I'm telling you this out of love. What you're doing is wrong. I love you. Come on. Hey, I'm not calling him out. I'm just being memo flow. Hey, that's what she's done to us.
[39:56] Amen. That's she done to you. Amen. Hallelujah. Brother David, I love you with all my heart. Hey, she didn't care who it was.
[40:08] She didn't care who was Brother Van. Amen. But guess what? She had a unique way and she could do it out of love. Matter of fact, by the time she's through thrashing you, she's going to be crying right with you.
[40:25] Come on, somebody. That's what I call true soldiers. People that will not let down that standard. People that will not let that die.
[40:37] I promise you, this world needs it. I love that my family came, my mom and my nephews, my son and my wife. I love that the Polly's, Jebedee, Galiah, I love seeing all of these young babies here tonight.
[40:51] Give the Lord a big hand praise for our young babies. Hallelujah. Look at this thing over here. If I had hair, buddy, I'd love to grow up just like that too. Yeah.
[41:04] But anyhow, what I'm saying is this tonight. Keep your vision alive and fresh. And if you're not getting what you need, you're going in the wrong direction.
