[0:00] Let's go to the Lord's prayer. Lord Jesus, Lord we thank you Lord for tonight. Thank you for the opportunity to worship you. Thank you Lord for bringing us here safely. Thank you for allowing us to have a home, your home, to come and pray to you. We thank you God. We ask God that you go with us tonight. We ask that you be with Brother Josh. Lord fill him up Lord. Let him remember everything that we need to hear and let him forget that everything that you don't want him to say. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

[0:30] Give the Lord a hand for Brother Josh. Moses and Judah. Moses and Judah. Who's glad to be here tonight?

[0:42] I'm just scooping this up. I'm not going to play the piano and I don't want to trip over that. Amen. I'm glad to be here. It was a...

[0:52] Seth always likes to add in how long it takes to get here but that does not matter. I'm glad to be here. I normally preach for like an hour but I'm not going to do that because everybody else has already preached.

[1:11] So... We're an hour ahead so does that mean you're done? Yeah. We're just going to do what the Lord wants to do and that'll be that. Amen. That's right. Seth are you recording me?

[1:24] Every day. That's a first. We're going to go to Luke chapter 24 for just a minute. I got a bunch of different scriptures.

[1:36] Who has their Bible? Raise it up. One, two, three, four. Your phone does not count. I'm joking. I'm joking.

[1:48] I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. Thank you, Lord. So if you take notes, I'll give you the scriptures as I go there but I got about like seven or eight different places I'm going to go.

[2:01] I like to preach the word. So we're going to go a bunch of different places.

[2:17] Seth has my mom to stand up and preach. She's probably not going to but I'll tell you something she always tells me. And it's, she says, you can't go wrong if you just preach Jesus.

[2:32] Sometimes I don't know what to preach but I know that if I just preach Jesus, I cannot go wrong. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. All right. I'm trying to get everything set up.

[2:44] I preach off of an iPad now because my wife got it for me and I try to be respectful and use it because it is awesome for notes and things like that but sometimes it gets a little difficult to manage it.

[2:57] Anyways, the name of this message is one word and that is tarrying. Tarrying. You can also say waiting on the Lord but we're going to use the word tarrying.

[3:08] Thank you, Lord. Luke chapter 24. We're going to start in verse 46 and go to 49. It says, And Jesus said unto them, thus it is written and thus it is behoove Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day.

[3:29] Who's grateful that he died? I am. I know that sounds a little bit like an oxymoron but I'm thankful that he died but I'm also very thankful that he is not dead but he is risen and he is still alive.

[3:44] The same yesterday, today and forever. Ain't that right, Brother Bruce? Amen. Verse 47 says, And that repentance and remission of sin should be preached in his name.

[3:57] Everybody say Jesus. Jesus. In his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.

[4:08] Verse 49 says, And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you. But tarry ye in the city until something happens.

[4:22] Wow. Until ye be endued with power from on high. Until your circumstances change. Until your anxiety breaks.

[4:33] Until your depression becomes joy. Until your sickness becomes health. Until your being the last becomes you being the first.

[4:43] Instead of you being the tail, you become the head. Because that's what Christ says over our lives, right? Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for allowing us to gather in your house. Lord God, I thank you so much for a safe trip up here.

[4:55] Father, I ask that you just use me as a vessel. Anoy my lips with the fiery clays from your altar. Lord God, just allow your spirit to go forth. Amen. Allow us to not miss or fall short of the glory of God.

[5:05] But allow us to receive revelation, wisdom, and understanding through your word. Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen. And everybody said? Amen. Thank you, Jesus.

[5:16] Okay, we're going to talk about tarrying. I'm probably going to preach a little bit different than I normally do. Because, again, I have a lot of scriptures to read. But we will stop along the way as the Holy Spirit sees fit. First place we're going to go with Psalms chapter 46.

[5:30] Chapter 46. This is David. Tarrying simply means to wait. How many knows the verse wait on the Lord? Right?

[5:41] This is Psalms chapter 46, verse 10. I'm going to try to go a little bit slow. So if you do have your Bible, you can turn there with me. You can also write the scriptures down to look at them later. Verse 10 says, Be still.

[5:56] It doesn't say go fast. It doesn't say become busy. It doesn't say. So in today's time, in today's world, especially the way my life goes, I'm sure that some other people can probably attest to this as well.

[6:10] Is we are, have to have it now type of people. And we are a busy type of people. We have to stay busy. We have to always stay busy with something.

[6:21] Always have something in front of our face. Always have a thing in our mind. Always have to have that place to go. That thing to do. That person to see. The event that we have to be at.

[6:33] Right. We are consumed with busyness as a people. But the word. How many knows that the word is true? How many knows that it's the truth that sets you free?

[6:47] It says, be still. And know. That I am. God.

[6:59] I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

[7:11] How many knows what the word Selah means? Selah. It literally means to pause and reflect. Pause and reflect. It's pretty simple.

[7:22] So you see this in a couple different books in the Bible. And a couple different authors. But David. Obviously uses it the most. But. I think it's amazing whenever he.

[7:36] I mean just speaking from the text that we're reading. Be still and know that I am God. He's literally. I mean he's telling us in a time of trouble. Or a time of trial. Or tribulation.

[7:46] Or whatever it looks like in our life. Even if. You're not in a bad spot. Or a dormant spot. Or a. A spot so to speak. That maybe. You know.

[7:57] The adversary has got you in. But rather God has you in for. The time and purpose. And the season in your life. Right. That maybe you least expected. But to be still. And know that he is God.

[8:08] And he's put you in this place. For that reason. But. Again. The ending there. To pause and to reflect. It doesn't say be busy.

[8:20] And continue on. There's. There's a story in the Bible. It's in John chapter 11. Of Mary and Martha. I'm sure everybody's familiar with it. But. You know. Mary does that one thing.

[8:32] That is needed. And it's sitting at Jesus's feet. And Martha is cumbered about many things. It's not that Martha's bad for being busy. But it's that. The one thing is needed more.

[8:43] Than the other thing. Right. It's. It's that the one thing. Is needed before. The other thing. Right. So whenever we want to. Serve. Whenever we want to.

[8:55] Pray for people. Whenever we want to. Minister to people. Whenever we want to do. Quote unquote. The Lord's work. Right. Do we have. What it takes to do that.

[9:06] The word says we do. But do you know. Who's allowing you. The power and the dominion. And the authority to do that. Right. Without sitting at his feet. Without pausing and reflecting.

[9:17] Without being still. And knowing that he is. God. It's nearly impossible. To do those things. You can go and do it. On your own muscle. On your own strength.

[9:28] Where you're not going to get very far. Right. There's not going to be. There's going to be those questions. Of how many people have you saved. Right. Like the brother said. How many people have you saved.

[9:40] And if you don't know. Who the Lord is. Truly. And if you haven't sit at his feet. You're going to answer with. Well I've saved a few. Right.

[9:51] And that's the wrong answer. It's the wrong approach. It's the wrong attitude. It's the wrong demeanor to have. Rather than. I know who God is. And I haven't saved anybody. Just like you said. But I know who.

[10:02] Who. Can save. And who has saved. And who will save. And who will continue to save. Right. Because his blood. Does not stop. His saving power.

[10:14] Does not stop. His grace. Does not stop. His mercy is new every morning. Right. Thank you Lord. Go to Philippians. Chapter 4. Verse 8. Another.

[10:28] Powerful. Gentleman in the Bible. Finally brethren. Whatsoever things are true.

[10:41] Whatsoever things are honest. Whatsoever things are just. Whatsoever things are pure. Whatsoever things are lovely. Whatsoever things are of good report.

[10:52] If there be any virtue. And if. There be any praise. Hurry past these things. Yes. Rush past these things. Skip past these things.

[11:04] That's not what the word says. Amen. It says to think. On. These things. Whenever I think of something. Especially. That the word. Tells me to think on.

[11:16] The things that are true. The things that are honest. The things that are just. The things that are pure. The things that are lovely. The things that are of good report. The things that are. Virtuous. And the things that need to be praised.

[11:26] Is. If I'm going to sit. And reflect on that. And think about it. I'm not going to do it in a rush. I'm not going to do it in a hurry. But I'm going to. Tarry.

[11:38] And wait it out. And. And. Ask for. And receive. Receive. The spirit of. Revelation. The spirit of wisdom. And the spirit of knowledge. Through those things.

[11:48] In order to understand. Why. God wants me to pause. And reflect on those things. Right. The reason why I'm preaching this message. Is because. Again. I'm.

[11:58] You know. Sometimes I get fired up. When I preach. Sometimes I'm. I'm a little bit calm. Cool. And collected. And the reason why I'm like that right now. Is because it is so. Important. In the time. And the day.

[12:09] That we are living in. To understand. That there is. There is not a revival coming. But we are in revival. Amen. Right. As a. As a people. As a nation. From. You know.

[12:20] There has been some events. In the past couple weeks. The past couple months. That. You know. I don't get into politics. But shape up. To look like. You know. That there are.

[12:31] More and more people. Coming to Christ. I read a. Article. The other day. That said. Since. The middle of September. Whenever. There was a certain. Event that happened.

[12:44] There has been. Like a. 65. To 67. Percent. Increase. In Bible sales. Wow. In America. Which. You know.

[12:55] When you read stuff. And it's like. I don't know. If that's true. Whatever. But I'm going to choose. To believe it. Right. Because it's good. Again. Think on these things. That are a good report.

[13:05] That's a good report. You know. That's good. That's good. But anyways. What. The reason why. I'm. You know. Slowing down on this message. Is it's important to wait. And understand.

[13:16] And know. Who God is. Especially. In the time. And the season. And the day. That we're living in. Now more than ever. Right. Whenever you go. Just like the sister was saying. She was war.

[13:27] Warring. In prayer. There needs to be more people. That understand. That that is the most important thing. You can do. As a child of God. Whether you're a son.

[13:38] Or a daughter. Or whatever. It doesn't matter. But for you to war in the spirit. Not only for yourself. Not only for your family. But for your brothers and sisters. In Christ. That may not know how to do that.

[13:48] Right. The gift. Of intercession. And the gift of travail. And the gift of tongues. And the gift of tears. Is such a prevalent thing. In the body of Christ. That does not get.

[14:00] Access. To. Enough. Thank you Lord. And in order for us. To understand these things. And to access these things.

[14:11] It is important to learn. How to wait. On the Lord. Because if we try to go too fast. Again it's like. You know. If. My boss says this sometimes.

[14:22] You know. It's like whenever. An old man tries to get up. And just take off running. He ain't gonna get very far. You know. So whenever you're a. A Christian that understands. That we're in revival.

[14:32] But to learn how to. And understand. To wait on the Lord. In this time. To. To. To put you into. The battle. At the time. In which you need to be in the battle.

[14:43] And which battlefield. You need to be on. And what battlefield. And why you're there. Right. Because some of us. We will. Be in a situation. Or a circumstance. Or in an environment.

[14:53] And not understand. That we're there. For a reason. And. Not have any weaponry. On us. Yeah. Right. To not.

[15:04] To just. Basically be. Lastic days. And oblivious. To what's going on. Around us. You know. It's. And it's sad. Because again. The revival season.

[15:15] That America. I'm not talking about. Riverside Church. Or Pleasant Hill. Or. What. You know. The little churches. That we go to. Here and there. But America. In a whole. Is. Is. In revival.

[15:27] In this season. And it's. Again. It's. It's important. For us. To raise up. And understand. You know. As a people. Of. Of the church. Of the living God. To understand.

[15:37] That we have gifts. That we have to access. But to wait on the Lord. In this season. In order to access them. And when we need to access them. And. Again, do not hurry past these things, but pause and think on these things.

[15:58] Old Testament Exodus chapter 14. We're going to talk about Moses for a second. Exodus chapter 14 verse 11 says this.

[16:21] And they said unto Moses, because there were no graves in Egypt, you have taken us away to die in the wilderness. They are standing at the Red Sea.

[16:33] Wherefore, has thou dealt with us to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is it not that this word we did not tell thee in Egypt, saying, let us alone, we may serve the Egyptians?

[16:48] For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians than we should die in the wilderness. And Moses said unto the people, fear not.

[17:00] Somebody say it. Fear not. Fear not and stand still. And see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show you today.

[17:13] For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever. The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace.

[17:28] Thank you, Lord. Thank you. The reason why I just went on that little five minute tangent about understanding where you're at in the battlefield and where you're at in revival and where you're at with your spiritual weaponry and how to use it and when to use it and why you need to use it.

[17:43] It's because sometimes. What's the Bible say? Fear not. Stand still. See the salvation of the Lord and he will fight for you and you shall hold your peace.

[17:58] You don't got to always open this thing. Right. That's right. I'm preaching to myself. Wow. Whoo. Hallelujah. I'll run. I'll feel like I can just run through a wall right now.

[18:08] I'm telling you. I don't look like it. I'm not acting like it, but I can do it. Because when I start preaching to myself, that's the most important thing you can do. Just like somebody was saying, get up earlier. It made me think about this message I preached a couple weeks ago in Joshua.

[18:21] Whenever the Lord tells Joshua, get up, get up out of your pen and preach to yourself. That's going to be the most important thing. You don't need me to come up here two hours away or brother Seth or brother David or whoever to come up here and preach to you.

[18:35] The most important person that can preach to you is you looking in the mirror, preaching to yourself every single day. Telling yourself to get up. Amen. But back to my point, we don't always got to open this thing to go and fight our battles.

[18:51] Right. We don't always. I'm not saying don't go and pray for people. I'm not saying don't forsake the gifts of the spirit and the fruits of the spirit and the operation in which, you know, the fivefold ministry and this and that.

[19:03] But there's sometimes whenever you need to discern when to be still and allow God to do it.

[19:18] Believe it or not, he does not depend on us. Thank you. He is God all by himself. Before he made any one of us, he said it is good.

[19:30] Believe it or not. Come on. That's true. He doesn't depend on my preaching. He doesn't depend on my worship. He doesn't depend on my praise. He doesn't depend on my prayers. He'll do what he needs to do by himself.

[19:45] Whatever the task is at hand, whatever the job is, whatever it looks like, whatever the battle is, whoever the enemy is, he can defeat and win every single time by himself.

[19:55] Again, it's important to understand when to be still and allow him to fight for you. Go to verse 21 really quickly.

[20:10] It says, and Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah.

[20:20] And the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided.

[20:34] So, growing up, Sunday school, the movies, whatever. Whenever you look at and see this story, it looks like the army behind him.

[20:54] Or, excuse me, Moses, the Israelites, the army behind them, nowhere to go that way, nowhere to go that way in the sea in front of them. And he went.

[21:05] Boom. And the waters parted. That's right. Well, let's look what the Bible says. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night.

[21:24] Yeah. So, sometimes when we sit still and listen and wait out and let God fight our battles, sometimes it's going to take a little bit.

[21:35] It wasn't an immediate thing. It was an all-night thing. Yes. The problems that we face, the issues that we face, the territory that the Lord has laid out before us for us to conquer is not going to be conquered overnight.

[22:02] The problems are not going to recede immediately. The waters, so to speak, that are in front of us, the sea that's in front of us is not going to recede immediately.

[22:13] But it's important to wait and to tarry until, just like the scripture we read at first says, until you are endued with power from on high.

[22:27] Yep. Yep. Thank you. Well, I want power. I want to be able to heal the sick and cleanse lepers and cast out demons. And sometimes you've got to wait on that.

[22:38] You've got to wait on that. You might pour all your anointing out into one person. Impartation. Well, how do I build my anointing back up?

[22:48] Right? There was five that were foolish and five that were wise. Some of them had extra oil and some of them didn't. Come on. Right? Yeah. Where's your reserves at? How do you build reserves?

[22:59] You sit still and know who God is. Amen. All right? Come on. Amen. Is this okay? Is everybody good? Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. I'll thank you for the response.

[23:14] I heard a guy, a preacher say, he said, you ought to not preach for a response. Or somebody told him, you ought to not preach for a response. He said, that's my whole job is to preach for a response.

[23:26] The Bible says to please God through the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. And how do you know that they believe? They respond. Right? Amen.

[23:37] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. And I'll let it wash over me. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Isaiah chapter 40. Isaiah chapter 40.

[23:50] If I can get there. My wife is the one who put my bookmarks in here. So on the way down here. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Yeah, y'all give her a hand real quick.

[24:01] Yeah. We got another third baby boy on the way. Hallelujah. The Bible says to be fruitful and multiply.

[24:13] Thank you, Jesus. Chapter 40, verse 30 through 31. Mine is 748. It's to the left and to the right.

[24:26] It's kind of in the middle of your Bible. Isaiah chapter 40. It's only 66 chapters, I believe. You there? Yeah. All right. You ready?

[24:38] Verse 30 and 31. It says, even the youth shall faint and be weary. And the young men shall utterly fall. But. I love it.

[24:50] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run, be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

[25:02] Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Wait on the Lord. Wait on the Lord.

[25:15] Verse 30 says, even the youth shall faint and be weary. So what you have to understand is in that time and in that day, the, the youth, the reason why it says the youth shall faint is because the military was mainly, the militant force in that day and age was mainly made up.

[25:34] Matter of fact, it was only made up of youth males. Right. So it says, that's the reason why that verse is there. It says that youth shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall.

[25:46] So that was their typical means of victory in that day was the young men, the young army. And what the Bible is telling us here is, but they that wait upon the Lord, even whenever your typical means of victory fails, whenever you wait on the Lord, he's still going to renew your strength.

[26:03] Amen. Because sometimes we rely on Sunday morning service or Saturday night service every one, you know, every once in a while as our typical means of victory. But sometimes that ain't always going to give it.

[26:14] Amen. Sometimes we wait on so-and-so to come lay hands on us or our wife or our husband or whoever to come pray for us. And that's our typical means of victory to get us through the day or through our problem or through our circumstance.

[26:27] But that's not always going to work. Amen. No, it ain't. Come on. Say it. Yes. Even the youth shall faint and be weary.

[26:38] Your typical, again, your typical everyday remedy for whatever it is that you have, you know, sometimes just reading the word ain't going to work. The word's powerful, but sometimes it needs, they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

[26:56] Sometimes just praying ain't going to get you through. That's good. That's right. You got to read the word too. Yeah. But here's what we'll get you through.

[27:07] They that wait up on the Lord. Yes. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Well, I've been praying and I've been praying and I've been praying and I've seen the doctor and they told me this and they told me that.

[27:18] And, you know, I'm backed up a little bit on that bill. And, you know, just fill in the blank for whatever issue it is. Again, it doesn't even have to be an everyday issue.

[27:28] It might be something that's been going on for 20, 20, 35 years. A thought or a thought process. Yeah. Right. A spending habit.

[27:43] A shopping habit. A look at this habit. A can't quit gossiping habit. Somebody got struck. There's only like 20 of us here, but I'm going to preach to somebody.

[28:00] You know what I mean? Hallelujah. I'm going to do it. Thank you. Again, I'm preaching to myself. Thank you. So how do I get over that? Well, it looks like I have to wait according to verse 31.

[28:12] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. And they shall walk and not faint.

[28:31] So we've covered David, Paul. These are all big guys in the Bible. Huge. Huge guys. Huge. David.

[28:43] Nobody got it. David, Paul, Moses, Isaiah. Let's go to Lamentations really quickly. Give me like 10 more minutes and I'll be done. Huge.

[28:54] Huge. Yeah. Lamentations chapter three. I went a little bit too far. Thank you. Chapter three, verse 25.

[29:06] Yes. Everybody knows this scripture too. I'm sure. This is Jeremiah. One of my favorite guys in the Bible. You want to talk about somebody that knows how to wait?

[29:19] Dude preached for 50 some odd years and never had one conversion to the gospel that he was preaching. Wow. Wow. That's the, I mean, epitome of learning how to wait right there.

[29:35] If you ask me. Yep. Chapter three, verse 25 and 26. It says, The Lord is good unto them that wait for him to the soul that seeketh him.

[29:49] It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

[30:09] If you study those words out there, it is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the Lord. It means to tremble and travail.

[30:22] There's a story in first Samuel. Chapter one, I believe in verse 10, when Hannah is crying out to the Lord for a son and she begins to pray and travail.

[30:38] And it says that she, whenever she travailed, you could not even tell the words that were coming out of her mouth. You could not hear them. So sometimes travail isn't always you're the loudest person in the room praying, but rather you're the quietest person in the room with the widest face.

[31:00] Amen. Thank you. Jesus wept is not the shortest verse in the Bible, but rather the longest verse.

[31:11] I believe that whenever Jesus wept, it was probably minutes or hours. Come on. Yeah. Come on. He was talking about groanings in the spirit earlier.

[31:21] Yeah. Yeah. It said that he groaned and the whole earth shook. Yeah. Come on. Yeah. That's true. I mean, would you, how would you like to be with Jesus as he's weeping and raises, I mean, he's, he has raised, is raising in the process of raising Lazarus from the dead.

[31:38] Come on. Come on. Wow. I could bring y'all another message on that. Wow. Come on. How he even got there. Because Mary drew the resurrection out of him. Amen. By saying the same exact verse that Martha did, except for Martha said it to his face because she knew all the right answers theologically.

[31:58] But Mary said it on his feet. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Sometimes we know all the right answers. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. I know that you're the son of the living God. I know that you're going to do it. Hallelujah.

[32:08] I know that I need to wait. But when it comes time to wait, I'm not going to wait. I'm just going to keep on asking and give you my list. Right. Right. Because we know we know it all.

[32:20] Right. But sometimes we have to have the posture of Mary and the posture of Isaiah and the posture of Moses and the posture of Paul and the posture of Jeremiah and the posture of Jacob and the posture of the children of Israel and learn how to wait on the Lord.

[32:35] That's how you build that reserve that Matthew chapter 25, the parable of the 10 virgins is talking about when he says that they had extra oil. They had a reserve. How do you find that you have an extra reserve oil if you do not know how to wait on the Lord?

[32:49] If you do not have a relationship, we want to throw that word around like it's nothing. Just it's relationship over religion. La di da di da. But whenever we don't even understand what relation means, how can we have a relationship?

[33:03] Right. It's learning how to wait on the Lord. Yeah. Thank you. Come on. That's it. That is good. Again, I'm preaching to myself. Can I ask my wife? I don't.

[33:14] I am probably the least patient person of all time. Right. I'm really. I'm seriously. I truly am. Like I have to have it. Like we got to go now. Right. We got to be there in two and a half hours.

[33:25] We got two hours and 15 minutes. You know, drop time. Well, you know, and it's. We got to stop. There's going to be traffic. Somebody's going to have to use the bathroom. We got Nana with this.

[33:36] We're going to have to probably stop and get a couple of snacks for the kids. She wants to go get ice cream. You know, let's go. Let's go. Let's go. I'm trying. You know, I was in a hurry mode on the way here. I really didn't.

[33:48] I had like two or three messages on my mind that I wanted to preach. I was going to preach in Joshua. But. But. Wait on the Lord.

[34:00] Hallelujah. Jeremiah. Numbers. We got numbers. Genesis. And then we're.

[34:10] We'll be out of here. We'll go eat some chicken. Lamentations chapter three. Eric. No, excuse me.

[34:21] We haven't been there. Numbers chapter nine. Yeah. Numbers. Numbers. Another Old Testament book. Numbers chapter nine.

[34:36] Nine. Nine. Nine 22. Or whether it were two days or a month or a year that the cloud tarried.

[34:46] There's that word. Tarried or waited upon the tabernacle remaining there on the children of Israel abode in their tents and journey not.

[34:57] But when it was taken up, they journeyed. Wow. I want to read it one more time.

[35:13] It's kind of just like church.

[35:35] It's kind of just like prayer closet. It's kind of just like driving down the road. Wherever the Shekinah flame of Jesus Christ is at. Please, for the love of God, wait in it.

[35:48] Yeah. Yeah. Because whenever you wait in it, then the weight, the W-E-I-G-H-T begins to fall on you. Whenever you W-A-I-T, the W-E-I-G-H-T falls.

[36:00] The Bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I'm tired of that. Personally. I don't like falling short of the glory of God.

[36:12] We get like right there. Yes. Like 99% of the time. Yes. To the glory of God. Wow. But instead of waiting on it, we fall short.

[36:23] Right? That's awesome. Whether we're two days or a month or a year. Sometimes it takes two days. Sometimes it takes a month. Sometimes it takes a year. Yeah.

[36:36] To wait in the glory of wherever the Spirit of the Lord is. Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is and you begin to remove yourself. We put time restraints and time restrictions. And I'm not talking about just a church service.

[36:48] Like hurry up. You know. Come on. You know. We've been here for two hours. But whenever. Even when we go to our prayer closet. It's like. Okay. I'm going to pray for an hour today. And then it's. You know.

[36:58] Well Fox News comes on at 9. And I started praying at 8.30. So. There goes that hour. Now I've got 30 minutes. You know. Because I'm putting a time restraint. Constraint on the glory of the Lord.

[37:12] Rather than waiting in it to receive the wait. Wait. Of it. I'm going to skip that verse.

[37:25] Genesis 28.10. You can go read it for yourself. It's talking about a certain place. Waiting in that certain place. Matter of fact. I'm not going to skip it. Because this is a certain place. Wow.

[37:36] This is a certain place. Right. It was talking about. Jacob went. And was literally waiting on the Lord. And he had to find some rocks. To make a bed with. Yes. And whenever you're in a certain place. Things that normally would be uncomfortable.

[37:47] Become comfortable to you. Yeah. Right. The rocks. Are not normally comfortable for a pillow. But whenever you're in a certain place. Waiting on the weight of the glory of the Lord.

[37:59] Things become comfortable. Right. And it's important for us to be comfortable. With being uncomfortable. In our circumstances. And in environments. That again. The Lord has put us in.

[38:10] In the season that he's putting us in. Right. Sorry. This is so deep. Actually. I'm not sorry. I hope you get it. I hope it doesn't fly over your head.

[38:21] No. But this is so important. Yes. Yes. Last scripture for you.

[38:34] We're going to go back to Luke. Chapter 2. Chapter 2. You can write down Exodus 33.

[38:45] 9 through 11. Also. It's about Joshua. If you want to learn how to wait. On crushing Jericho walls.

[38:57] You got to learn how to wait in. The tabernacle. Even though. Moses went out. Moses stepped out of the tabernacle. But Joshua stayed in. Exodus 33.

[39:08] 9 through 11. Exodus 24. 15 through 16. Moses waited 144 hours. On God. To see his face. 144 hours.

[39:21] Six days straight. Luke. Chapter 2. Verse 43. Starting at verse 43. And then we'll be. We'll be done.

[39:32] Thank you Jesus. Hallelujah. Worthy. He's worthy. Ain't he? He is worthy. Chapter 2. Verse 43.

[39:44] It says. And when. They had fulfilled the days. As they returned. The child Jesus. Tarried. Behind. In. Jerusalem.

[39:55] I'm going to start at verse 41. So you understand the context. Of where we're at. Now his parents went to Jerusalem. Every year. At the feast of the Passover. And when he was 12 years old. They went up to Jerusalem.

[40:07] After the custom of the feast. And when. Then they had fulfilled the days. As they returned. The child Jesus. Tarried. Everybody say. Tarried.

[40:18] Tarried. Behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph. And his mother. Knew. Not. Of it. I preached this verse. A while back. At Bethel. And. Man.

[40:29] It's. This is. When I got this revelation. I about hit the floor. Because it was. People do it all the time. People do it all the time. But they supposing him. To have been in.

[40:41] The company. Went a day's journey. And they sought him. Among their kinsfolk. And acquaintance. So let me set the scene for you. They go to church. It's a ritualistic duty.

[40:54] At the time. Right. They do their. They fulfill their ritual. Mary and Joseph. They go to church. Jesus is there. Just like here. We come to church.

[41:05] Jesus is here. They leave. And it says that. Jesus stayed back. And they knew not of it. How many times. Do you walk out the door. And you leave Jesus here.

[41:15] Wow. Wow. Seriously. You're going to get home on Tuesday. And. Wonder why the world's falling apart. And you're going to go.

[41:26] Oh wait. We left him. Wow. At the church. In Louisville. Wow. Wow. That's good.

[41:38] Yeah. I got to go back two and a half hours. To get my Jesus. That I need for the rest of the week. Instead of just. Taking him with me. Come on. That's awesome. That's good.

[41:49] Yeah. I mean. My. My. My. I'm going to keep reading. it says and they found him not and they turned back again to jerusalem seeking him thankfully they actually did that and it came to pass that after three days three days without jesus i've i've done it i do it all the time i'll i'll wake up i won't even acknowledge wow i'll just because i'm in a hurry i got rush rush rush late late late hurry hurry hurry get there get here do this do that make sure they're happy make sure that's done make sure this is done make sure that's taken care of but i forgot jesus wow i forgot him at the storehouse i forgot him at the altar i forgot him in my truck i forgot him here i forgot him at the kitchen table i forgot him with my kids before they go to bed i forgot him just again fill in the blank says after three days they found him in the temple sitting in the midst of the doctors both hearing them and asking them questions and all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers some of us want like the brother said it's important to grow this is one of my biggest things is to grow in in revelation and knowledge every single day of who he is who he is and who you are who he says you are to him right yeah but sometimes again i'm going to read it one more time it says then it came to pass after three days they found him in the temple sitting in the midst of the doctors both hearing them and asking them questions so sometimes the questions that we have for god and the answers that god is giving we miss we miss we want it we want revelation we want divine interpretation of you know lord put that thing in my life that we've been talking about put so and so in front of me yes or why did you put so and so in front of me why did you put me in this situation or circumstance but he's not going to answer it because again we left him and he's three days away but thankfully three days ain't that far away if you look at it from the perspective of lazarus right it's right on time at that in that scenario and it says and when they saw him they were amazed and his mother said unto him son why hast thou thus dealt with us behold thy father and i have saw thee sorrowing and he said to them how is it that you saw me wish you not that i must be about my father's business so you left me you're worried about me but here's the thing is whenever we leave god whenever we leave god guess what he's going to continue to do he's going to be about his father's business right and whenever we're looking for him he's going to be right where we left him that's right come on he's going to be right where we left him every single time whenever you look at the prodigal son story it says that the father literally stepped off of the porch yes to embrace the son the son didn't have to run all the way back right the father stepped off the porch and embraced the son from a far way out even i'm going to read you two notes that i got and then we're going to

[45:51] is it cool if i just pray this out yes is it okay please hope this doesn't step on anybody's toes but i wrote this down whenever i again i wrote this message probably it's been a couple months ago but it's it's so it's so important it really is one of these notes says don't just punch your normal time card because you may leave and your breakthrough or meeting may be waiting on you i'm gonna say it one more time don't just punch your normal time card because you may leave and your breakthrough or meeting may be waiting on you sometimes whenever we get in a rush now again i'm not just talking about this saturday night service or wherever you attend church regularly but whenever you have your time and communion whether it's prayer time or bible time or bible study or uh you know a small group or church service or whatever don't just look at it as your normal punch card i'm coming in i'm clocking in i'm clocking out with what the lord has for me but learn to sit and wait on the lord especially if it's a moment where there is the presence of the lord is there right where there's a there's a glory flame there to not miss what the lord has not just for you but again to say over you and to say over your situation or circumstance or what he has for you to do right last note don't let your time frame be your barrier but learn to wait in his presence for in his presence is what fullness of joy yeah right so whenever you find yourself in lack of of that learn to be being in his presence is it's joy unspeakable however you want to say it right uh again i'm thankful that he never leaves us nor forsakes us if it goes with us until the very end i'm thankful for his grace that's sufficient his mercy that's new every single day his joy that that comes in the morning his peace that surpasses all understanding i'm thankful that he is jehovah jireh he's my provider i'm thankful for jehovah nisi i'm thankful for for just him being who he is right i'm thankful that he's given me the conscience to understand and be uh be able to have faith in his grace right i'm thankful that i live in the part of the world that i live in to be able to so easily access the understanding and the knowledge of of the wisdom of who jesus christ is right i'm thankful for a place that uh allows the freedom to come and worship and and to come and speak and to be able to have people testify and to not be constrained by time or worry about uh what this person looks like or what that person sounds like or uh you know the the credentials or whatever but that we have the freedom because wherever the spirit of the lord is there is liberty right so therefore we know that the spirit is here because of how much freedom and how much liberty is in this place right i'm thankful for that i'm thankful for uh again the the the ways of the old paths i'm thankful for the people that that built and laid the foundation for this place but i'm also thankful and i want to give honor where it's due for the people that is continuing to lay those those stones and that that that pavement for uh not just this generation but possibly another generation in this same church right um it's okay i'm gonna pray this out is that all right brother david yeah heavenly father lord god we come to you in the mighty name of jesus
