Doomsday Is On The Way!

Good morning. It's awful quiet. In 1945, after the end of World War II, a special council was formed.

! It was led by Albert Einstein and Robert Oppenheimer, other atomic scientists.

! The task that they created for themselves was to evaluate how close the human race was, how close planet Earth was to a global catastrophe, a doomsday, if you will.

In 1947, they created what is now known as a doomsday clock. You can look this up on the interwebs and see this.

And in 1947, as a way of showing the imagery of time running out, they set the clock at seven minutes to midnight. In other words, they were declaring by the setting of that time that we were that close to a doomsday scenario for the planet and for the human race, seven minutes to midnight.

Down through the years, they would meet every year. Every year, they would set a new time, depending on what was happening in world events and in peace accords and in nuclear arms races and so forth, and set a new time.

In 1972, it had fallen back to 12 minutes to midnight. In 1988, with the ramping up of the Cold War between Reagan and Gorbachev, it was set to six minutes before midnight.

In 1991, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union, it got set to 17 minutes before midnight.

In 2002, after the events of 9-11, 2001, it got moved up to seven minutes.

Once again, 2015, there was a new concern that they had. That concern was climate change. Began to dominate their meetings, and they moved the doomsday clock up to three minutes before midnight.

In 2017, something had happened the previous fall that alarmed them greatly. Surprise, surprise. They had a little bit of TDS, or Trump derangement syndrome, and so they set the clock to two minutes before midnight.

And then in 2024, they set it to 90 seconds before midnight. In 2025, here's a picture of them setting the clock to 89 seconds before midnight.

This year, 2026, they moved it up even closer to 85 seconds to midnight, based on everything that was happening in Ukraine and so forth.

And I'm sure now with what's happening in Iran that when they meet in 2027, it will be even closer. Everybody, it seems like, is looking for signs.

The vast majority of people believe that there is a doomsday or a catastrophe scenario coming. Nobody knows just when, and the scientific community is fascinated with this.

The religious community is fascinated with this. No doubt, the human race and planet Earth are on the verge of a doomsday.

The population of Earth is still alive and just as defiant as ever, not more so. But there is an actual doomsday that is coming, but it's not as the world fears it.

They believe that humans are going to do something through nuclear energy or warfare or climate change or whatever it is.

They believe that humans are going to cause this, that mankind should be afraid of mankind. No, that's not what's going to happen.

According to the scriptures, God is the one to fear. God is the one who will bring this doomsday upon the planet, upon the human race.

And it will be worse than anything that Hollywood can come up with or anything our imagination can describe.

It will be more terrible than what we can understand. And that's our topic for today. Thank you. Luke chapter 21.

We're at the end of the chapter. We're going to be looking at verses 25 through the end of the chapter. A couple of reminders and then something new before we actually get into the text. We're going to be a little bit before we get to the text.

I want to set something up by way of first review. Understand that as we go through the Gospels and looking at prophecy specifically in the Gospels, these portions of prophecy, you will notice a sense of the now but not yet.

We have seen up until now in Luke's Gospel, the more of the now, the recent prophecy that was, according to them, about 40 years after he speaks these words, the destruction of Jerusalem, the tearing down of the temple, the ransacking, the death and destruction of Jerusalem, which did happen in AD 70 by the Roman general, first Vespasian and then Titus.

And now today we come to, as Luke now looks more towards the distant future. And for us here, almost 2000 years later, it is still yet in the future for us, the actual, the events of the actual second coming of Jesus.

Now, before we get to that, I want to point out this and maybe to help us all understand how we're looking at this, depending on your background and where you're coming from, how you look at prophecy.

There are three major views regarding the end times. The first two are somewhat more valid. We'll briefly look at, but it's seemingly not so valid any longer.

The first has to do with premillennialism. And let me just, let me kind of define the words. Millennial is just the word for thousand.

So we're talking about a thousand year timeframe. The book of Revelation is very specific. If we take this literally, it's a thousand year reign of Christ on earth.

Some people would, would spiritualize that number and say that that's not what's in view as a literal thousand year reign of Christ.

But nonetheless, when we look at these three different views, that it all centers around the view of premillennialism or amillennialism or postmillennialism.

And those were pre meaning beforehand. In other words, we believe the, the, the, the second coming is going to come before this thousand year reign of Christ on earth.

Amillennialism means no millennial period. And so amillennialists believe that there is no thousand year reign of Christ coming.

And postmillennialists believe that we are living in the time after the beginning of the millennium. That when Jesus resurrected and the church was born, that began the millennial kingdom.

And we'll see some of the, the, the, the problems with that. But premillennialism first, Jesus will return and establish the kingdom of God on earth in fulfillment of God's promises to Israel in the old Testament.

And so we believe, and this is where I am at. I am a premillennialist. We believe that, that these promises that were given to Israel concerning this thousand year reign of Christ on earth and his second coming to fulfill all of those promises to Israel.

We believe, I believe that we're still before that timeframe. We believe, or I I'll say it this way.

I believe that Jesus stated that when we see these signs, these signs in the heavens that the sun and moon darkened and, and, and fire and smoke and all of this stuff, that when we see these signs, the kingdom of God is near.

In other words, it hasn't happened yet, that it's, it's soon to come, that it's near implying that his kingdom will come after his return. And that's the operating system by which we look at and interpret all of these passages and Luke and in Matthew and in Mark.

Amillennialism believes that there will be no literal 1000 year reign of Christ, that basically the kingdom is only spiritual or only eternal.

And they believe that in the end, Jesus will return only to judge the earth and then usher in the eternal state.

So there won't be any tribulation that, that, that, that's, that's already happened in the past. They look at the events of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 is fulfillment of those passages.

Uh, I struggle with that because, uh, you go from passages that talk about the local destruction of Jerusalem, then to something more global.

The whole earth would see that didn't happen in AD 70. And so I struggle with this concept of, of no millennial kingdom at all.

Um, and then, uh, with that in mind that I believe Jesus is present spiritual reign over his people cannot be the fulfillment of his glorious promises to Israel in the Old Testament.

One of the passages of scripture that, uh, can sometimes be used, uh, is a passage that we look, look, look at a number of weeks ago, back in Luke chapter 17, verses 20 and 21.

And I want to show you kind of where it's at there at the very bottom of the passage. Uh, Jesus is speaking and he says, look, here it is. Uh, nor will they say, look, here it is, or, or there for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you or the kingdom of God.

Sometimes it's translated is in you or within you or in the midst of you. Um, and they teach that that is that the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.

God that when Jesus rose again from the dead and established his church, the kingdom of God now reigns supreme in, in the followers of Christ. And, and that this passage therefore is a, an example of that.

But that is, I believe a, a misunderstanding. I would call it a gross misinterpretation of what Jesus is saying here for a number of reasons. One grammatically, uh, Greek grammar, just as English grammar does matter and what it, what it says.

Definitions of word matters. Words matter, but so do context. If you look at the beginning of this, Jesus was asked a question about when the kingdom would come by who?

By the Pharisees. These Pharisees were no followers of Christ. They had no faith whatsoever in Christ.

Matter of fact, these were the, the gentlemen that were the driving force behind getting Jesus crucified. And to make sure that he was put down in that way.

Uh, being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them. The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will he say, look, here it is or there. For behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you or in your midst.

What Jesus was saying is that the kingdom of God, the king himself was standing in their midst. And they missed it.

It was not Jesus saying that the kingdom of God was in, inside the Pharisees. They were unbelievers. The kingdom of God could not be inside them or in them in that way.

But Jesus was saying, as we have been saying all throughout the gospel of Luke, the kingdom of God is at hand. That's the gospel of the kingdom. The kingdom of God is at hand. The kingdom of God is at hand.

The kingdom of God is near. What Jesus was saying, as we were pounding on the drums and making this proclamation, is that the kingdom of God was standing right in front of them.

And they missed it. And they missed it. So to understand this as a way of saying that the kingdom of God is within us, for believers, there is a sense where that is true.

I have the Holy Spirit within me. As a believer, the Holy Spirit resides within. And so from that perspective, it's true. The kingdom of God is within me in the person of the Holy Spirit.

But that does not mean that Jesus has established his kingdom on earth as he promised Israel in the Old Testament.

That is yet to come. So now there's post-millennialism. This one kind of gets made fun of in current context today simply because this.

They believe that we're living in a time after the millennial kingdom has started, that it wouldn't be specifically 1,000 years. As a matter of fact, we're 2,000 years afterward. So they kind of have to manipulate the numbers there to make it work.

And they just would say, no, we don't believe the millennium is strictly 1,000 years. That's just a number. They believe that the church will usher in God's kingdom through the worldwide spread of the gospel culminating in the return of Christ.

First, this was kind of the idea of Billy Graham, the idea that, hey, we've got to get the gospel to the four corners of the earth, according to Matthew 24, in order for Jesus to come.

So we've got to get this job done. We've got to spread the gospel so far and wide that he'll have to come. But what's misunderstood there is Matthew 24 has everything to do with what's going on during the tribulation and not before.

So those are events in Matthew 24 that are describing events in the midst of or in the middle of the tribulation. So I don't know of anybody who believes that the conditions are going to improve so much, that mankind is going to be so kind and loving and compassionate toward each other, that we're going to create this beautiful picture of world and that Jesus will have no choice but then to return and set up his kingdom in that setting.

The world is not getting better. However, I think we can safely say many scriptures indicate that circumstances are going to get worse. This is true whether you look at the news or whether you look at scripture.

But scripture is obviously the more important metric to use here. But the scriptures do teach us that the world circumstances will get worse, not better, prior to Christ's return.

So one last thing on your notes there before we get into the text. The gospel accounts do not deal with the question. Excuse me.

The gospel accounts do not deal with the question of whether there is a separate rapture of the church. You won't see any doctrine or theology in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, or Luke.

John doesn't deal with the subject of prophecy. Excuse me. But you won't see the issue of the church basically dealt with other than this one statement that he makes to Peter in Matthew chapter 16, talking about I will build my church on this rock, this rock of truth that he mentioned.

So it doesn't, you won't see the church, you won't see the idea of the rapture there. So even in passages like in Matthew 24 where it looks like a rapture, that's not what's being described there.

It's describing events that are happening during the tribulation. Now the rapture is found other places in the scripture. I don't take this to say that I don't believe in the rapture.

The rapture is certainly there. It's taught in 1 Thessalonians 4. It's taught in 1 Corinthians 15. I believe it's taught in Revelation chapter 4.

And so these ideas are there, but they're not in the gospels because Jesus is answering a specific question about his kingdom and the coming of his kingdom and a question dealing with Israel and the coming of the kingdom.

The church doesn't deal with those issues. So the gospels rather focus exclusively on the tribulation and the second coming of Christ.

We see that in Matthew. We see it certainly here in the gospel of Luke as well. All right. So that brings us to our text today in Luke chapter 21, beginning in verse 25.

And now Jesus is speaking again, and he's speaking of events directly tied to the second coming of Jesus. There will be signs in sun and moon and stars and on the earth, distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and waves.

People fainting with fear, with foreboding of what is coming on the world for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And these are great cataclysmic events that when you read Revelation chapter 6 and Revelation chapter 8, you see how devastating these events are.

Revelation chapter 6, we looked at this a few weeks ago, 25% or one quarter of the earth's population will be killed during that time, during that season of troubling times.

Revelation chapter 8, another third of things will be destroyed and vegetation and waters and rivers and oceans turn to blood. Revelation chapter 8 kind of mirrors the plagues of Moses' time.

Revelation chapter 8, we looked at this a few weeks ago, 25% or two years ago, 25% or two years ago, 25% or two years ago, 25% or two years ago.

And a cloud with power and great glory. The Son of Man is an Old Testament reference to the Messiah. Jesus refers to himself in that way.

And when these things begin to take place, he says, straighten up and raise your heads because your redemption is drawing near. Specifically for these tribulation saints.

The church is gone, by the way, at this time. we're basically observing this from heaven we're going to be when jesus steps into the clouds and and begins his descent onto the earth we're going to be i call it the cheering section behind him will be his army if you will he won't need us he will just basically speak and destruction and and death will happen uh just as he the spoken word happens and we will be the the section coming behind riding on horses and and and i'm not very good at riding on a horse but apparently then we're all going to be very good at it and there'll be a lot of horses and and and it's just going to be an incredible scene revelation 19 read that if you want to and and this is what's being described here and so if you're a christian if you're someone who's gotten saved become a believer in christ during the tribulation and there will be millions of you and and many millions will be slaughtered uh during during the tribulation but many will survive you'll run into the hills run into the mountains and survival tactics and all of these things but but you will know when jesus is about to descend you'll have an idea of on the of the calendar you won't know the day or the hour but you'll have an idea for when it's going to happen you'll start to see the signs in the heavens uh happening and the darkness and the the fire and the smoke and all and then jesus this is not this is not a rapture event this is the the rapture is secret it's hidden the only people who will see jesus at the rapture are believers but during the second coming everyone will see him during the rapture it's instantaneous and we're gone at the second coming it's going to be a slow descent it's going to be methodical people will be able to see this happening so straighten up and raise your heads because your redemption is drawing near and he told them a parable look at the fig tree and all the trees my guess is he was standing next to a fig tree or he could see a fig tree and notice trees in general jesus is saying as soon as they come out in leaf you see for yourselves and know that summer the summer is already near we do this every spring i mean we live in michigan we have these trees that lose their leaves in the fall and it's beautiful and but every spring we're like oh man i can't wait for spring look let's and then when you look at the trees and you see the budding of the leaves in the spring when that happens it's it's still kind of cold at night right it it's it's not exactly you know the weather's not exactly there yet but you know summer's coming how long is it going to be how long does it take in michigan for for spring to turn into summer can we can we be safe to say it's it's a matter of weeks or maybe a couple of months is that fair sometimes as eric was pointing out that it seems like it hits a couple of days it's like we get a couple of days of spring and then bam heat but the point is you know how long it's going to be generally speaking this is not

2,000 years this is not a parable spoken to us in the church age this is a parable spoken to tribulation saints believers saved during the tribulation to assure them to give them a sense of hope and encouragement to them understand just as in the spring when you see the budding of the leaves and the leaves coming out you know summer's not long when you start to see these redemption is drawing near it's going to happen very soon that's the point of of the parable that that Jesus is making here so also when you see these things taking place you know that the kingdom of God is near meaning hadn't happened yet hadn't happened yet right it's coming it's still future tense okay truly I say to you going on verse 32 this generation will not pass away until all has taken place and and let me tell you this verse verse 32 gets misunderstood so often because what they believe what people when they read this passage they automatically assume that the generation that Jesus is talking about is the generation that he's speaking to he's speaking to to James and to John and to Peter and he's saying that their generation would not pass away until all of these events took place and so that then feeds into their understanding of of in AD 70 at the destruction of Jerusalem which they would have been able to live that long to see only John was alive to see that by the way but that generation would have been alive to see that but again if that's not the beginning of the millennial kingdom if that's if that's not the second coming of Jesus and and the tribulation events and all of that if it's not worldwide is what Jesus is describing here then what does he mean by saying that this generation what he's saying is that the generation that sees that witnesses these events will not pass away until all of this has taken place in other words if today you're not a believer and the rapture happens in your lifetime and you find yourself alive during the tribulation and the rise of the antichrist and all of these cataclysmic events that begin to happen during the tribulation understand that your generation will not pass away before you see the the coming of Jesus in the clouds it will absolutely happen in your lifetime and you you will be able to know listen to me now it's it's about seven years right seven years from the time that the church is removed and gone and taken away and can you imagine the explanations the world is going to come up with for the church being taken out of the way can you imagine the celebrations that will go on when all of these nagging

Israel loving horrible rotten people are finally out of the picture and we can live how we want no one will judge us anymore God must have taken them out of our way so that we can enjoy all that this world has to offer or aliens I don't know one or the other a lovely but watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life that day come upon you suddenly like a trap be prepared is what he's what he's saying here for it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the just Jerusalem just Jerusalem it's just it just impacts just that little spot around Israel that's it no it's the whole earth is going to be taken up into this but stay awake at all times praying that you have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the son of man and then a couple of details before he moves on every day he was teaching in the temple but at night he went out and lodged on the mount called

Olivet or the mount of olives and early in the morning all the people came to him in the temple to hear him speak by the way this crowd of people who came to hear him every morning to speak they were coming because they loved Jesus and they couldn't get enough of his preaching and teaching and they just loved him and committed their lives to him now it's the same group that's going to shout crucify him here in just a couple days they're coming because they're curious right because people are fascinated by this subject that's that's what's happening here so let's talk about the second coming of Christ and these events and let's start with first of all the fact of his coming that it is more certain than heaven and earth itself we're certain of heaven and earth but if you're certain of that you can be even more so certain that Jesus is coming again then they will see the son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory it's going to happen this language that Jesus uses is right out of Old Testament prophecy referring to the second coming of Jesus in Daniel chapter 7 for instance verses 13 and 14 we see this

I saw in the night visions and behold with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man who's he talking about the Messiah who's coming and he came to the ancient of days and was presented before him and to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom that all peoples and nations and languages should serve him it's exactly what's going to happen during the millennial reign of Christ on earth it's exactly the promise that was given to Israel that Jesus that the Messiah that the son of David the son of man would come and sit on his throne in Israel and that all the nations would come and honor him as king that's that's the kingdom that's what he promised and Jesus is coming to fulfill that he is the king of all his dominion is an everlasting dominion exactly the promise that was given to king David in first Samuel shall not pass away in his kingdom his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed as David's kingdom eventually was destroyed so we have this promise and then these words from Jesus my words heaven and earth may pass away they will pass away we know that by the way climate change is real it's a real deal

God's gonna God's gonna change the climate when he burns up the earth and the heavens right they're worried about that happening on the planet well it's a genuine concern not the source what they're concerned about mind you but it is going to happen Jesus says my words will not pass away second thing here the signs of his coming these cataclysmic global threats and changes that will happen in Matthew 24 verse 29 also subject of the tribulation immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened the moon will not give its light the stars will fall from the heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken these are events the end of the tribulation that lead up to the actual second coming of Christ on earth the rapture by the way don't refer to the rapture as the second coming of Christ that's a separate event it only impacts the church those who are the true church those who are believers during the church age it only impacts them it's not

God is not speaking to Israel in the rapture he's not dealing with Israel in the rapture he's dealing with just the church guess what we are the church the rapture is for us so understand that everything that happens then after the rapture the tribulation is then ushered in and he is once again dealing with Israel and the kingdom of God is at hand the same language that Jesus used while he was preaching on earth the kingdom of God is at hand will then be used once again during the tribulation because the kingdom of God will once again be at hand we're not preaching that today we're preaching the gospel of grace not the gospel of the kingdom and so yes for us we're going to be full participants in the kingdom we've been grafted in we can consider Abraham our father but we're part of the church that's also true by the way for any

Jewish person who comes to faith in Jesus Christ they too now become part of the church and will be taken out at the rapture because in the church there is no distinction between Jew or Gentile male and female slave or free we're all part of the body of Christ that's why some of this anti-semitism that we see today is so disturbing particularly from those who claim and I use the word claim the name of Christ I have a hard time believing that someone is a genuine follower of Jesus Christ and can be anti-semitic at the same time I struggle with that listen to this language coming from once again Old Testament this is the prophet Isaiah chapter 13 verse 10 for the stars of the heavens and their constellations will not give their light the sun will be dark at its rising the moon will not shed its light

I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity some people would say well Rich I think you're being awfully naive to say that the church is not going to go through the tribulation because Jesus promised us persecution Jesus promised us difficulty he promised us tribulation he promised us that we would face trials and hardships absolutely that is a part of our story it is a part of the story of the of the church for the last 2000 years you can't look at church and not recognize the difficulties and the trials and the tribulations that the church has faced absolutely but those trials and tribulations and persecutions have come from who the enemy this is from God God will not persecute his own

God will not bring difficulty on his church who he has promised will escape this tribulation Revelation chapter 3 I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless I will make people look at this I will make people more rare than fine gold what kind of a statement is that wow do you get the idea that there's going to be a lot of death during the tribulation yeah yeah a lot I will make the heavens tremble and the earth will be shaken out of its place and the wrath of the Lord of hosts in the day of his fierce anger and you might say well rich well won't

Christians during the tribulation face all of this wrath from God yeah yeah they will be caught up in it but understand there are people generally speaking who had an opportunity to put their faith in Christ before these events took place and chose not to and then during the tribulation decided I'm going to put my faith in Christ so they will face all of that number three the danger before his coming is this to be weighed down with worries and cares it's an interesting phrase that we see here in verse 23 of Luke 21 there will be signs in the sun and the moon and stars and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity perplexity is an interesting word because the root word of perplexity here is someone who is bound and it speaks to their anxiety their worries they're so bound up by their worries their fears their anxieties they don't know what to do they have nowhere to go they have no hiding place at all revelation chapter 6 talks about how the end of the chapter that people in that day will be crying out to the rocks fall on us they know that the wrath is from God and yet they choose to not repent they choose like a good believer in modern environmental climate change to pray to the rocks instead of the rock of ages why

I am baffled by that they choose later on revelation 16 I believe to shake their fist at God and curse him rather than to repent they know where this is coming from they know that the destruction and the wrath that is being poured out on them is coming from God and in their pride and their arrogance they choose to defy him rather than submit to him people fainting with fear and foreboding of what is coming on the world they don't know what to do with it they have nowhere to go there's nowhere to hide verse 34 watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness sometimes people today will avoid their problems by drunkenness and the dissipation that comes with that the cares of this life and then bam the second coming will come on them like a trap because they're not prepared they're not ready for it and it will come on all who dwell on the face of the whole earth and then this final charge to be ready for his coming that is to stay on the alert through prayer and obedience again verse 36 stay awake at all times praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the son of man what will it be like to become a

Christian during the tribulation to know what's coming to run to the hills become a survivalist basically to survive all these cataclysmic events and the wars and all of it to escape the wrath of Satan and the antichrist who wants to come and slaughter Christians to survive all of that and then stand before the one who saved you what a day day that will be be alert to be ready praying praying that you would have the strength if there's an application for us that is in this that we too should be praying we too should be standing firm because we know for us the church that Jesus is going to take us home quickly and suddenly and then we too will stand before the judgment seat of Christ the Bema seat not to answer for our sins but to respond to him in terms of the opportunities that we've been given to serve him did I choose to serve him or did I choose to just be focused only on me and mine are we ready for that see

Bible prophecy is not given to satisfy our curiosity it's not the point of these last few messages in Luke 21 I'm glad if you're curious about these things I am too it's good to be curious but that's not the point of it the point of prophecy of studying prophecy is this it should lead us to live daily in faith and in prayer and in obedience to God's word that's what prophecy should lead us to and I would suggest to you that if your fascination with or your curiosity with prophecy and end times is not leading you to that to the idea of daily living for him serving him praying obedience what's what's the point of it then it's doing you no good at all and you will not find yourself ready to stand before the one who is coming let's pray thank you so much that you have given us in your word these these words these this this this message on the mountain side that is so perplexing to some and hard to understand and yet as we examine these scriptures and we believe them as they are literally interpreted and we don't have a reason to not interpret these passages literally let us be aware of what is yet to come for us here in the church age we are awaiting the rapture of the church the taking up of believers past tense and present tense those who have gone before us their bodies resurrected out of their graves those of us alive and who remain caught up together to meet them in the clouds and to meet you what a day that will be and then

Lord to usher in all of these incredible and terrifying events of the tribulation the culmination of all of these things that have been prophesied for these 2,000 years and before in the Old Testament for 3,000 years the fulfillment of the promises that you made to Israel all of the wrath all of the injustice that will be made right we look forward to that day Lord when your justice rolls like a mighty river when your justice reigns on the throne in Jerusalem and all the nations will come and bow down and honor you so Lord give us eyes to see and ears to hear and hearts to understand we have a task that task is to be a witness to be a light in a world that is so broken and so dark

Lord you've called us to infiltrate that darkness and that evil and to take with us the gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaim it loudly and to share this truth of the gospel with those who need to hear it let us be faithful and warning our generation of the doom that is to come we may not yet see it in our lifetimes but Lord we know that your coming for your bride is imminent it could happen at any moment I pray Lord that we would be ready that our hearts would be prepared that we would have accepted the truth of the gospel chosen to be followers of you to believe in Jesus

Christ our Lord and Savior our only hope is what Jesus Christ has done for us on the cross as we celebrated today with communion may that be a reminder may communion serve as a reminder to us that you're coming again Lord we know in your word that it tells us that communion is that reminder so may we be found faithful with the days that we have left we love you and we praise you we honor you today in Jesus name and all God's people said amen all right thank you for coming
