[0:00] Senhor,주管 them! Thank you.
[1:00] Thank you.
[1:30] Thank you.
[2:00] Thank you.
[2:30] Thank you.
[3:00] Thank you.
[3:29] Thank you. Thank you.
[4:01] Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus our blessed Redeemer. For our sins He suffered and bled and died. He, our rock, our hope of eternal salvation.
[4:17] Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the crucified. Sound His praises, Jesus who bore our sorrows. Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.
[4:31] Praise Him, praise Him, tell of His excellent greatness. Praise Him, praise Him, ever in joyful song.
[4:42] Amen. Amen. Good to be in the house of God with you tonight again. Anytime we can get together, that's a good thing. Amen. I give you a little Bible doctrine.
[4:53] You know what the church is? I see signs all the time on Facebook, don't go to church, be the church. The word church is congregation. It's assembly. So don't go to the assembly, be an assembly.
[5:06] Now, how do you do that? And so the word means assembly, and I'm glad we're getting to assemble. Glad you're here tonight. It's good to be in the house with you. So we're going to have a word of prayer, and after that, the missionaries will come, and you don't shake hands with anybody unless you're related to them.
[5:23] All right. Father, we love you. Thank you for the chance to be in your house tonight. Thank you for your wonderful people. I pray, God, that you bless everyone, all of us.
[5:35] Most of all, I thank you for Jesus and the fact that he will soon ascend to his throne and reign. And I thank you that he will come, and the world will know that he is indeed the God of heaven, and that will be made clear as he comes on this earth and sets up his kingdom.
[5:55] God, we're going to give you praise and honor and glory for all you do in Jesus' name. Amen. Good evening. I'm Lauren Grant, a missionary to the country of Peru, and tonight I have a praise and a prayer request.
[6:06] Last month I had zero meetings, and despite all of that, the Lord provided five new partners in the ministry. I have about 84% of my support, and I want to ask that you pray for our missionaries and our interns there in Peru.
[6:21] They have been in a pretty strict quarantine for the last eight weeks, and then tomorrow they should find out whether or not that quarantine gets extended or if they'll have a little bit more freedom. So please be praying for them.
[6:32] Tracy Pover, missionary to the country of Chile. I'm so excited because today I spoke to a pastor, and he confirmed a meeting with me instead of canceling, so I'm just really excited to go on that meeting soon.
[6:43] Also, I got to be part of the Share-a-thon last week, and I just was so blessed by the training center students and teenagers. They helped so much and stayed well into the night with all of us to celebrate, and we even had teens from the field contributing, getting interviewed.
[6:57] It's just really a blessing to see the young people participate in this way. Travis Snow, missionary to the United Kingdom. We're excited to be going back, God willing, in August. Pray that we'll be able to go back.
[7:09] One of the things we're hoping will be in our favor is that we did get our British citizenship. We didn't give up our American citizenship, but we got that, so hopefully we can go back in August. Robert thinks I'm a traitor because I got British citizenship, but it's purely about getting into the country.
[7:23] But if you can pray for the continent of Europe, the whole world has been affected by all this virus, and I'm excited to have an opportunity just to be able to talk to people when we go back.
[7:35] Hopefully God will use us to open hearts to the gospel, so thank you for that. Tyler Ellis, missionary to Argentina. This past month has actually been pretty great. I've had all my meetings cancel, but the Lord has been great, and he's been providing for me, and because of him, I've been able to stay alive pretty much and save money to get married.
[7:54] I'm getting married in 44 days, and the Lord's just been great. Amen. Sam Beth Quinn, missionaries to the United Kingdom, and a couple of things you can pray for us for. One, we are going to be starting back traveling.
[8:05] We are heading to Texas towards the end of this month, so that's exciting, getting to go out there. Those people have decided that they are not at all worried about the coronavirus, but, you know, Texas is one of those places that has, they've thought out so many things.
[8:19] What's one more, you know, collapse in the universe? But we're excited to go there. That joke went... But as well, if you'll pray for us. We still have our tickets in September.
[8:31] It's been planned out and put together, so if you will pray that we can still get there, our support will come together, we'll have the meetings, and they'll be profitable. We would deeply appreciate that. Thank you so much. Eric and Rebecca Elrod, you're missionaries of the country of India, and during this quarantine time, even in India and lockdown, we've still been able to have Bible study and discipleship with many of the people that we've been able to meet there.
[8:51] A young man that led to the Lord just this past year, I've been able to meet with him and his family, and because of the lockdown, they can't really go anywhere. So they're a captive audience. So he has three brothers, a sister, and his mom lives there.
[9:03] And so we'll be praying for them and for their salvation. And just last week, they had somebody breaking the rules, stop by their house, and they kept him a little bit longer so that we had the opportunity over the Internet to get to share the gospel with this man for the very first time.
[9:16] So pray for his salvation as well, and that we can get back to India this August. Andrew and Amber Garcia, missionaries to Honduras. While I lived there in Honduras, we'd go out evangelizing, telling people about Jesus every week, and oftentimes in the heat of Honduras, you'd get very thirsty.
[9:32] Luckily, no matter where you are in Honduras, about walking distance, there's going to be a snack shop you can go up to, buy a bag of water, half liter bag of water, for about two limpia. That's about ten cents. And everyone in Honduras knows that that bag of water cost ten cents.
[9:46] But what is the price of a man's soul? We know here at Vision Baptist Church that Jesus Christ paid for our sins with his blood. But in Honduras, many people, though they know the price of a bag of water, they do not know that their sins have already been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.
[10:01] Please pray for my wife and I as we continue moving towards Honduras to tell people about Jesus Christ. Amen. Kyle and Hannah go into Chile, and we actually had a meeting last night. It was incredible. It was in North Carolina of all states, which is pretty shut up.
[10:16] And the pastor was like, we ain't missed a service yet. You come on, brother. He was like 87 years old. It was incredible. He was not scared of anything. It was awesome. And they took us on the service, which was really exciting. We went there the first time on deputation, and it was seriously one of the worst meetings I ever had.
[10:29] But I got them in the rematch, and it was really good. So I was excited about that. Yesterday, by the way, I don't know if you guys remember. You probably don't. About a year. Yesterday was a year. I was wearing sunglasses in church for a couple weeks.
[10:40] Had a real bad car wreck. It was not a great time. It was a really scary time because I was the only one working. We didn't know how we were going to get through. We didn't know how God was going to meet our needs. And we got through it. I mean, God provided and got us through it.
[10:51] And I'm just like, hey, man, it's a year later. We're in another crisis, which means every time Mother's Day rolls around, I'm in a coma, or we're in, like, lockdown or something. So I don't know what the deal is. But we're going to win in the end of this, guys.
[11:02] We are going to win in the end of this. Amen. Amen. Josh and Elizabeth Ewing to Indonesia. So excited to be here with everyone. God has also been so good to us.
[11:12] We just echo that, what everyone else has been saying. Continue to pray for Indonesia. They're still struggling with all this. They begin by saying they didn't have any cases whatsoever. It was just, could not even get into their country because of the heat, which was a lie.
[11:26] And so that's all been coming out, and the people are upset, and they're mad. Also, they're still having just constant issues. They're having earthquakes. And it seems like there's always another problem coming.
[11:38] But we know that whatever goes on, even if we get scared, I'm not sure about you guys, but it seems like this whole virus is like one day everything's going to be fine. The next day we're all going to die.
[11:48] And those thoughts run through our head. But see, at the bottom of all of this, we have this settled piece that God is going to help us. They don't have any of that. So they have all of these problems. They're actually moving the capital of Jakarta to another, the capital of Indonesia to a different island because of all of the natural disasters.
[12:05] They have to shut down government. So, so many problems, but no peace. And so that's what we're offering is the peace in Jesus Christ. Justice and Courtney Mines, missionaries to the country of Nepal.
[12:16] And there is a lot of missionaries here tonight. So we are praising the Lord for two new supporters and a healthy family. Amen. Robert and Emma Becker, church planning missionaries to Argentina. A couple of praises and a prayer request.
[12:27] Praise that I was able to find a barbershop open and get a haircut. Very thankful for that. And thankful that the Lord provided three new supporters last month. Even though we only had one meeting, God is good. And ask you that you be praying for my dad.
[12:40] Last night he had a stroke. Went into the hospital. And come to find out apparently over the last however many years he's been having many strokes. And so he's had more than one. But this is only the first one that they've noticed.
[12:53] So they got to figure that all out and just ask you to be praying for him. Steven and Leslie Carrier, church planning missionaries to Chile. And I'm glad Becker got a haircut. Leslie hasn't opened up her salon yet or whatever. So this week she should be though.
[13:04] But actually we were supposed to go in June to Chile for a week. And back in March, the times I really wanted to go in June, there was a medical group that was coming to Chile there in June.
[13:15] And March, around the 1st of March, I said, Lord, if there's just some way you could get this group to reschedule or something. So we can go on those dates. I'd really appreciate that. Well, they've rescheduled because of what all happened. And I was like, this wasn't what I meant, Lord.
[13:26] But, you know, but Lord willing, we are going to get to go next month because Chile's kind of opening up a little bit more. So just pray we'll get to go for about a week next month. Josh and Allie, Miller Missionaries to Peru.
[13:36] And if I could just echo what Lauren said, be in prayer for our missionaries in Peru. If you don't understand that, the whole Gardner family is trapped in a house for over 50 days with David Gardner. So be in prayer for them.
[13:48] Also, we had one news reporter this week. Thank you. Dustin Ashley Brown, Church Planners, the country of Turkey. And we just recently heard another meeting canceled. That's become like the norm. I guess you hear that from us.
[13:58] But pray for us as we try to fill our May back up and get back on the road. Jonathan Rebecca Anderson, Missionaries of Mexico. Praise the Lord, just confirmed two meetings for this month. And so that's exciting.
[14:10] Please be praying for the churches in Mexico. It's very difficult what's going on. They are in the middle of trying to figure out how to have church. The Internet situation is more difficult. You have to pay a lot of money if you're going to have unlimited Internet.
[14:22] So a lot of people are not able to do Zoom and other things like that. So we're trying to find other ways to get teachings to the believers and stay in touch with them. So please be praying for that. Thank you. Mark and Amy Coffey, Missionaries of South Africa.
[14:36] We've also had an opportunity this week to help some pastors in Zambia and in Kenya as well because of the pandemic and also drought that's going on. A lot of pastor families are struggling and hurting there.
[14:47] So please be praying that we can raise a little bit of extra funds to help those pastors. Also pray for our young preachers there in South Africa. They're going to be trying to start Bible studies this week and some underground churches there in South Africa.
[14:59] So pray we can get those, you know, continue having Bible studies and continue getting the gospel of Jesus Christ out. Hi, I'm Rebecca Pepperdine, Church Planned Missionaries of China.
[15:11] Be praying for us this week. Abby's wedding is this Saturday at 2 o'clock. You're all invited. It's going to be a strange wedding, but it's going to be a good wedding. Meaning strange in the sense not the normal traditional type things.
[15:22] But we're excited about it and so be praying for us then. Our house closes on Wednesday. We're excited about that as well. So thank you. Benny Crystal Johnson. As many of you know, we came back at the end of February as things were closing down in China.
[15:34] We didn't know what to expect. We came back hoping to ride it out, go back to China. So our flight left actually got canceled on March 30th. So we've been here ever since. But as that started closing, we began to pray, God, what's the next step?
[15:46] What do we do next? And God began to work in our hearts through different things. Started talking to Jeff. I believe God was moving us away from China. So we are announcing tonight that we are now church planning missionaries working with the Canavans in New York City.
[15:58] So we're excited about that. I can see the shot going across. So we're excited about the next step. Please pray for us. We'll be contacting our supporters in the very near future.
[16:08] So we're very excited about what God is doing and how we'll be going up there, Lord willing, very soon. Well, at some point. We're working through all that right now. John Amber Canavan, church planners to New York City.
[16:20] And we're very excited, too. It's exciting to see what God's going to do. We've got our first meeting in person this Sunday. And so, I mean, first meeting in a while. So we're very excited about that.
[16:31] We called the pastor and asked, are you sure you want us to come? And he said, brother, we don't care what the governor says. We're going to meet. And so I said, all right, we'll be there. Mitch and Jacqueline McCormick, church planning missionaries to Peru.
[16:43] And although it's been unconventional recently, we've been excited for the opportunities we've had. I've been able to do some youth groups on Zoom. I actually got stuck in California during this whole time. So we're excited to be with you because I've been stuck with my mother-in-law the last couple months.
[16:54] So that was fun, but excited to be here. Hope she's not watching right now. Anyway, but I was able to do a youth group. And one of my good friends, actually, his brother's in the youth group now.
[17:05] And during that meeting, he actually ended up getting saved. So that meant a lot to me personally because one of my best friends growing up. And so be praying for him and his new walk with the Lord. But so thankful to be here with you all tonight.
[17:18] Austin and Annie Grace Still, church planning us to the country of China. I recall last summer when we were in China, we took the team to the city that the De Los Reyes family is in, Qingdao.
[17:28] And while we were there, of course, Qingdao was well-known throughout China and in some parts of the world even for their beer. And they had this huge sign up in different parts of the city that showed how they exported the beer from Qingdao all throughout China and all around the world.
[17:43] And, you know, China, they pride themselves in their exports of various trinkets and phones and beer. And now, though they may not be so proud of it, sickness. But pray that one day that there will be a slew of churches there that are exporting the gospel all around the world.
[17:58] Blake and Bridget Young going to Columbia. Yeah, I'm excited to say that our next meeting as of right now is on the 20th of this month. But I would like to ask you to pray for Miguel and Mary Angela Sanabria.
[18:08] I got to talk with them a lot over the last week. As of right now, and I have my facts straight, I think they're on lockdown until the 25th of this month. So they can only leave their houses a couple times a week.
[18:20] Pray for them in their ministry. Thank you. Mike and Deanna Staley, missionaries to our U.S. military going to Spain. My wife flew to North Dakota today, and I will have our first meeting in two months in Kansas.
[18:33] So I fly there on Saturday for the weekend. And so just pray for us as we're getting close to being ready to go. We're just waiting on our invitation. But I just want to say this.
[18:43] I just want to thank Jesus Christ first and foremost for his goodness to us. And I want to thank each and every one of you that give faithfully and to all of our supporting churches. At a time like this, you would think the giving would be down, but God's people are faithful.
[18:58] And I thank the Lord that we serve a great Lord and a great Savior. And people still give and thank the Lord for that. And so I just want to give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ tonight. Andy and Lily Smith, Church Planners to China.
[19:12] So we haven't had a meeting since mid-March. But starting next Wednesday, we've got a full schedule until July, I think it is. So most likely they just forgot we're coming. But we'll just show up, I guess.
[19:23] Sam and Rhonda, missionaries to the Jewish people. A lot of people are trying to figure out where the whole virus is from. And a lot of people right now are looking at a laboratory in Wuhan, China, and saying that the Chinese have made it.
[19:38] And in China, they're saying that the Americans made it. But there's really good news because there's a longstanding tradition in the world that it's really always the fault of the Jews.
[19:50] There's a longstanding tradition that everybody blames the Jews. During the Middle Ages, the bubonic plague hit Europe. And everybody said, it's the Jews that did it. During World War II, Hitler said, all the problems of Germany are due to the Jews.
[20:02] And now we have people here in America who are saying that the virus is actually an Israeli biological weapon that has been loosed on the world. I have a good friend who is working, a Christian who's witnessing to and working with a synagogue in Florida.
[20:20] There's spring swastikas on the outside of the church building. So there's a lot of anti-Semitism at this time. There's a longstanding tradition of, you know, if we're not sure where it's from, let's blame the Jews. It might be a good time to reach out to your Jewish neighbor and say, love you and praying for you.
[20:33] Amen. I'm Jen Zeleni, church planning missionary to Indonesia. And I would say that I'm excited to begin traveling out and preaching again. But if you ask T. Wayne, I never stopped preaching. So I just quit traveling.
[20:46] He has been a very captive audience for the last month or so. And I'm sorry, T. Wayne, but you were stuck with me. Robert and Kelly Canfield Missionaries to Africa.
[20:57] We had one of the, that's not our first meeting. But on Sunday night, we had one of the meetings there. We actually had a meeting on Sunday night. It was a drive-in. I got there and I was talking with the pastor.
[21:07] And he said, man, there's just a church down the road that they just closed the doors. They just voted today. The deacons voted today. And the pastor voted today. And he's talking about all that stuff. And I just started getting depressed. I don't know about you. I'm like hearing all these churches.
[21:18] He's talking about these churches closing down. I'm preaching to cars. It's really hard to preach to cars. I don't know about it anyways. But anyways, then I started reading my Bible. And I was reading 1 Kings chapter 19.
[21:29] And Elijah says to the Lord, he says, I have been very jealous for the Lord. For the Lord God of hosts. Yeah, that's me. I've been very jealous. I've been very, very, very, very passionate. That's what I think. Because the children of Israel have forsaken the covenant.
[21:41] They've thrown down their altars. They've slain their prophets with the swords. And even I only am left. And they seek my life to take it away. You guys know that story. Elijah, he's pity party.
[21:52] Well, just a couple hours ago, I just got a phone call from one of the pastors I went to. And he says, hey, I was going to let you know that I got your prayer card on my visor. And every time in the morning, whenever I drive, I put it down. I'm praying for you.
[22:02] And that as soon as we get together, we're going to vote to take you guys on. And so just praise the Lord that he's got about thousands of others that never bowed the knee. And even though I can feel depressed and down, that God still has us in the control. He's got this in the bag.
[22:13] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
[22:24] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
[22:37] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. was staying with us at the time. We woke them up, and we got outside, and the whole roof was ablaze.
[22:51] It was on fire. We're like, oh my goodness, it's two in the morning. By the time the fireman got there, the house was burned to the ground, so everything we had was in there. And my mom and my little brother were sobbing. My mom's boyfriend was angry. I was confused. It was really a dream.
[23:06] I didn't know what was going on. But there was hurt, pain, and frustration that everything was lost. And I think every single one of us knows, different degrees, the hurt and pain of living in a world of sin and suffering. Every one of us knows the uncertainty and result of putting our trust in empty things of this world. But I want you to know that whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will find rest and refuge in the shadow of his wings. So you can turn to God and find relief and refreshment in times of pain and hurt. So Ruth chapter 2 verse 12 says, Boaz speaking to Ruth, he says, The Lord recompense thy work, reward you, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord, God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust, under whose wings you have come to sought, you sought refuge in God's wings. The book of Ruth starts off by saying there was a famine in the land of Judah.
[23:59] So this family that lived in Judah actually moved to Moab, and they lived there for a while, and their sons actually married two Moabite women, one of them being Ruth. And so we can already see God's outstretched arm towards Ruth.
[24:12] This Israelite family wasn't supposed to be in the land of Moab. They were Israelites. They were told not to dwell with any other nation around them, yet here they are coming to live where Ruth supposedly lived. She lived in Moab. Ruth was a Moabite, meaning that she was not part of the people of God. Moabites worshipped different gods rather than one true God, the God of Israel. She was an enemy of God's people, separated from God, and she would be a foreigner and an outcast in the land of Judah.
[24:41] Have you ever felt like you didn't belong, like you were somewhere you felt like a foreigner and outcast? My dad used to work in the oil field when I was back in high school, and we'd move like once a year, maybe twice a year, and I'd go to different schools. I'm like, man, not again. Like, it's the same thing over and over and over again, but could you imagine going to a new school and their rival school? It's like, okay, I just came from the place that beats them in every sport. Like, every year, we're always beating them. They're like, oh, man, they know I'm from that school. Could you imagine going to a new job, and your old job you just came from beat your new job in sales every single year? It's like, oh, man, this guy's coming to work with us. But Ruth probably felt a lot like that. She was an enemy and from an opposite, an opposing nation to God and his people.
[25:25] Now, Naomi, Ruth's mother-in-law, had lost her husband, and about 10 years later, lost both of her sons. She felt like she had lost everything. She lost her husband, both of her sons, and she was bitter against God. And then Naomi had heard that God provided food for his people back in Judah, and so she's like, all right, I'm going to go back where God takes care of his people.
[25:44] And then Ruth actually follows her. She's like, all right, your people will be my people. Your God will be my God. And they arrived in Bethlehem, just two women in desperate need, hurting from all the life that's thrown at them, just in need of hope, someone to take care of them, someone to provide for them. Are you feeling desperate? You're going through a financial struggle. You just want someone to take care of you, need someone to help you, just in need of hope. I imagine Naomi and Ruth are thinking about them, feeling that as well. But think of it, Ruth had every reason to think that when she got to Judah, she was going to be separated from God's people because of her past, because she was an enemy of God and his people. God says in Isaiah 56, he says, let not the foreigner who has joined himself with the Lord say, the Lord will surely separate me from his people. He's like, don't let the foreigner say that. And even better, in 1 Kings chapter 8, verse 41 through 43, Solomon's praising to God, and he said, God, as for the foreigner, who does not belong to Israel, but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand, your outstretched arm, when they come and pray and hear from heaven. The foreigners were drawn to God because of his goodness to his own people, but also his goodness to the foreigners as well. And I think how Solomon's so sure they will hear of God's great name on each stage. He says, because of his outstretched arm, God and his pure holiness and love was outstretched his arms of foreigners in the Old Testament, New Testament, and still is today. And we, like Ruth, we're enemies of God. We all, like Ruth, we're foreigners, considered foreigners. We had every reason to think that God would judge us and send us to hell.
[27:24] But because of God's grace, we who once were afar off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. We could see God's arm was outstretching towards all of us, reaching us for you and for me.
[27:36] We who had no hope have been brought hope by Jesus. And for those of you who are hurting tonight, you can trust and take refuge under the sheltering wings of the Almighty. So no matter what hurt you've been through in your past, what pain you're going through now, or what trouble you're seeing on the horizon, you can find refuge in the wings of the God of Israel, our Redeemer.
[27:54] So come to Jesus in your hurt and pain, and he will shelter you under his wings. Amen. Go ahead and stand with me again. We'll continue to sing together. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised. So shall I be saved from mine enemies.
[28:22] I will call upon the Lord. The Lord liveth, and blessed be the rock, and let the God of my salvation be exalted. The Lord liveth, and blessed be the rock, and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
[28:45] He is exalted. The King is exalted on high. I will praise Him.
[29:02] He is exalted forever, exalted, and I will praise His name. He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign. Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name.
[29:30] He is exalted, the King is exalted on high. As morning dawns and evening fades, you inspire songs of praise.
[29:55] that rise from earth to touch your heart and glorify your name. Your name is a strong and mighty tower. Your name is a shelter like no other. Your name is a shelter like no other.
[30:19] Your name is a shelter like no other. Your name is a shelter like no other. Let the nation sing it louder Cause nothing has the power to say But your name Jesus in your name we pray Come and fill our hearts today Lord give us strength to live for you And glorify your name Your name is a strong and mighty tower Your name is a shelter like no other Your name let the nation sing it louder Cause nothing has the power to say
[31:22] But your name is a strong and mighty tower Your name is a shelter like no other Your name let the nation sing it louder Cause nothing has the power to say But your name Amen you can have a seat As we have this time for the offering Let's remember our missionaries in prayer The strategic partners as well as the staff missionaries And also for every believer across the world I know this is affecting people in different ways Let's pray Lord we love you We thank you for this opportunity We can give back to you Lord thank you for your sweetness And your kindness to us We are so undeserving But God by your grace You continue to take care of us We lift up our missionaries We lift up believers all across the world
[32:22] And how this is affecting them differently God I pray that we might just continue to lift you up Through this time I pray that you'd use this offering Lord In this ministry and across the world In Christ's name we pray Amen Born a babe A virgin birth My God the high and lofty one You came to earth To be a slave To be a slave Servant of all You washed my feet You took my fall Though you were rich You became poor That you would die That I might live
[33:24] You poured out your soul Even to death Taking my sin Just to forgive me Then they led you Then they led you down the road To a hill called Calvary You took my soul You took my nails You took my nails In your hands and feet You drank the cup of wrath That was reserved for me Though you were rich You became poor That you would die
[34:25] That I might live You poured out your soul Even to death Taking my sin Just to forgive me Laid in the ground A stone cold tomb The wrath of God Resting on you You knew no sin Yet sin became Yet sin became From the foundation You are the Lamb Who was slain Up from the grave
[35:25] You rose again You hold the keys Of death and hell You conquered sin You paid my debt A costly price A costly price And I know that I Will be with you In paradise Though you were rich You became poor That you would die That I might live You poured out your soul Even to death Even to death Taking my sin Just to forgive Even to death Even to death Even to death Taking my sin Taking my sin Just to forgive
[36:26] And though you were rich You became poor That you would die That I might live You poured out your soul Even to death And though you were rich I might live I might live I might live I might live Just to forgive Just to forgive me Well take your Bibles if you would And turn with me to the book of Psalms Chapter 21 That was a beautiful worship Amen Today is Zach Elrod's 59th birthday I think Where are you Zach?
[37:09] Somewhere in here Zach is in here There he is Eric stand up And sing happy birthday Right quick I ain't got a lot of time So make it quick And also Andrew and Holly Had a baby And I don't So don't sing to him Though he's not here Or her Alright let's sing together Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday God bless you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you The battle's over We prayed in the last Psalm They said we're going out to battle It's a day of trouble We need help Now in Psalm chapter 21 They come back And they say boy God you're good And you delivered us And we praise you I want you to read For the second time
[38:10] We're only going to read verse 13 I think it's kind of said In worship songs tonight Be thou exalted Lord In thine own strength So will we sing And praise thy power Father God I want to magnify Jesus tonight Through this Psalm That's what you're doing here Magnifying him Magnifying yourself And God we want to worship you We want to sing a song of gratitude And praise to you Tonight because of who you are So speak to our hearts Help us just be excited That you're our father Jesus is our brother And our savior And we're so thankful For what you are doing And who you are And ask you to work now In Jesus name Amen So they have Now this is a song of Thanksgiving This is the song they sing After the victory And when you get answered prayer You ought to have Very fervent and strong
[39:11] Thanksgiving We ought to say Praise the Lord Thank you Because you're so good to us But this Psalm is Pretty obviously Not David's When you read verses 8 through 12 Though he may Sing it And it may have applied to him It's pretty obvious As we get there You'll see It's about Jesus When he takes His position When he comes back And lets the world We're looking forward To not David's ascending up But to the Lord Jesus Being a crowned As the true Anointed Messiah Sent from God One day Every knee Will bow And every tongue Will confess That Jesus Christ Is Lord So we see a picture Of victory In Christ And you can use This Psalm Especially as you Deal with things And you want to Thank the Lord Go with me if you would To Psalm 21 1 All true Victory Is found Only in the Lord Psalm 21 1
[40:12] The King Shall joy In your strength In thy strength Oh Lord In thy salvation How greatly Shall he rejoice You know That's even a picture Of Jesus All through his life Jesus was doing The will Of the Father When he gets baptized The heavens open And the Father says That he is well pleased And in Luke 22 42 When Jesus is ready To go to the cross He prays It's the Lord If you're willing Remove this cup But not Not my will Whatever your will is And there in Luke 22 43 Even there Jesus Was ministered to And strengthened By angels And so even Jesus Gave all the glory To God the Father He always magnified God But David has come back now And the battle's been won And they're all together In the church And the congregation Is not the church Because it's an Old Testament group
[41:13] The church is a New Testament thing But they all get together And they're singing praises To the Lord And saying The king shall joy In your strength O Lord And in your salvation How greatly Shall he rejoice David knows It's God Who gives him the victory Psalm 28 7 The Bible says The Lord is my strength And my shield My heart trusted in him And I am helped Therefore my heart Greatly rejoices And with my song Will I praise him He had been in trouble And the Lord Had rescued him I was in trouble And the Lord Rescued me I was on my way To hell And Jesus Stepped in And saved us It's always God Who gives us the victory We are to rejoice In the Lord We are to wait On the Lord Did you even The world wonders How we can make it How can you be happy When the world's Falling apart How can you be happy When Africa's in a drought
[42:13] And locusts are eating The planet And a virus is going around And the world economy Is in trouble We rejoice Because we know God And we rejoice in him Did you know Delilah said To Samson We need to know Where do you get Your great strength That's what the world Wants to know from us And we get it In the Lord Jesus Christ Here's the goal Are we attempting To do something Where we need God To do something Are you asking God To move and work In your life In Psalm chapter 21 In verse 2 The psalmist says Let's sing about this God hears And answers prayer Look at Psalm 21 too Thou has given him His heart's desire You have not withheld The request of his lips So they're singing And they're saying God you are good I asked for it I desired it I wanted it And you have not withheld it You have given What I asked for God gave David
[43:15] His heart's desire In victory over his enemies And you know That we have those promises You know this verse Very well But look with me At Psalm 37 Verse 3 And I just want you To know What we're doing Is we're trusting In the Lord We're living our life We're dealing with All the junk That's going on But we are a people Who pray And ask God And trust God To work in our life In Psalm 37 3 It says Trust in the Lord And do good And you will dwell In the land You'll have victory Verse 4 It says Delight in the Lord And he will give you The desires of your heart Commit your way To the Lord Trust in him And he'll bring it to pass Verse 7 Rest And wait patiently And don't fret Don't get upset Don't get worried You can trust God You realize What's happening here God has answered David's prayer And David's like God You heard And God You were good to me
[44:15] And God You gave me What I asked for I want you to go with me If you would To Psalm chapter 21 And verse 3 Psalm chapter 21 And verse 3 Not only did God Hear his prayer And answer his prayer But God was running In front of him Fixing stuff for him All the way through Did you know The Lord goes Before his people Did you know He knows Where you're going And he's already there Fixing stuff Look at what the Bible says In Psalm chapter 21 And verse 3 For thou preventest him With the blessings Of goodness Thou setest a crown Of pure gold On his head Now I want you To circle the word Preventest Because you're not Used to that word And you don't use it The way it was used then It means to go before Write that down It means It means You go before him It means to anticipate It means to go And meet someone In other words God went before David
[45:17] With goodness God has a habit Of going Before his people I'll show you that In just a minute But I just want you To understand what happened I need you to go back With me in Psalm chapter 21 I just need you To look at it David's singing And David said Boy God You won the victory It was your strength And I am so grateful Because you are A great God And God You heard prayer And you answered prayer You gave me What I asked for And then he says And what really Shocks me Is you were running Out in front of me And making it happen Before I ever even Got there If I was a missionary And I could think That the Lord Would prevent me Go before me Run into China Before me Run into Peru Before me Run into Africa Before me And God Could already Be over And say I'm getting All this set up Just come on I got it fixed That's a pretty Powerful thought Say amen Right there But if you'll read The passage I think you'll see it The king Joys in the strength Of the Lord The king says God gives me What I ask for The king says Boy God goes
[46:17] Before me And fixes thing By the way In Joshua chapter 5 In verse 13 When they're getting ready To go into the battle Of Jericho He shows up And says I'm fixing to go In front of you Joshua looks at him And said Now whose side Do you own And the Lord Looks at him And said You got that Backwards son You need to get On my side Because I'll go Before you I'm the one That has power God He said I'm the captain Of the hosts Of the Lord And I am come In Psalm 48 14 He is our guide It says For this God Is our God Forever and ever He will be our guide Even unto death You know what he said About the shepherd Going before the sheep In John 10 4 He goes Before them God was there When David Got to the battle And God already Had the victory It's pretty easy For us to think I have to go Get the battle I have to go Get the victory I have to go win But this Psalm Is David backing up And saying Oh no it wasn't me It's your strength And I glory In your strength
[47:17] I'm not glory In how well I preach I'm not glory In how well I give I'm not glory In how smart I am I'm not glory In how industrious I'm in my job I'm glory In the God I serve And you should say Amen right there Not only that God I ask you stuff And you know what you do You just give me What I ask for What a God Say amen I just ask you And you give it to me And then he said Not only that God Just to tell you the truth God We're really funny You run out in front of me And just get stuff ready That's pretty powerful You need to underline that verse Thou preventest him With the blessings Of goodness Thou preventest him With the blessings Of goodness I said it's a crown On his head He anoints him And he makes him King Now That crown of pure gold David That's really He didn't win a battle And get a crown of pure gold In fact it's the one battle When it could have been Joab's the guy Doing the fighting This crown's probably For the real king This crown's probably
[48:18] For the king Of kings And the lord Of lords Thou setest a crown Of pure gold On his head Now I can tell you How we've got to get That idea Because if you look At verse 4 It kind of says Some things That wouldn't be true About David He asked life of thee And I gave us to him Even length of days Check it out Forever and ever Ain't nobody lives Forever and ever Nobody sits on a throne Forever and ever But one And his name Is Jesus In Psalm chapter 21 In verse 5 It says His glory is great In thy salvation Honor and majesty Has thou laid Upon him And Jesus Christ Will be crowned With glory And honor And majesty In Psalm chapter 21 In verse 6 Thou hast made him Most blessed Forever Thou hast made him Exceeding glad With thy countenance Now
[49:18] It's obvious That David sings this song And the people Sing this song And obviously Kings like hyperbole About how they're Going to be around Forever But when we read it In the future We know David won't be Sitting on that throne But the throne of David Will still be there And somebody else Will be sitting on that throne And his name Is Jesus In Psalm chapter 21 In verse 7 God blesses Our trust In him For the king Trusts in the lord And through the mercy Of the most high He shall not Be moved He shall not Be moved God did go Before David God did answer David's prayer And God was good To David And God did Put him in a throne But you know That God has another king He's more interested in And there's another king That God is more interested In putting on his throne And putting In his place And this psalm Kind of takes a turn Now that makes you Think it just about Has to be
[50:19] Jesus Obviously they can Sing it about David But when you get down To big mighty stuff That's beyond Our comprehension And our ability It's about Jesus We're fixing to run Into a whole series Of psalms Psalm 22 Sunday night It starts off If you got your bible My God My God Why hast thou forsaken me I'm pretty sure I know who that's about I'm pretty sure I know who said that In Psalm chapter 21 I think Is mostly About Jesus I want you to look at this Jesus hadn't been honored He hadn't been magnified He hasn't yet been crowned Here on earth For who he is They crowned him once It wasn't gold It was thorns But I want you to know He's coming back And he will be crowned With gold And he will reign Forever
[51:19] And ever And when he comes back He'll still have enemies here So anytime now And I don't know When it's going to happen But anytime now That trumpet's going to sound Skies are going to split And we're taking off Out of here And then he is fixing To do some stuff On this earth That's going to sound Like this song He's fixing to come On this earth And say I'm fed up With you people Not us We're gone He just took us Out of here But he's going to tell All this lost world All this world That spits on him All this world That mocks him All this world That puts down his word He's going to say to them You've been saying If there was a God He ought to show up And prove it He said Well I did And I'm here I'll read you What he's going to do With me if you would In Psalm chapter 21 In verse 8 Thy hand shall find out All thine enemies Thy right hand Shall find out All I'll find out Those That hate
[52:20] Thee You don't like God I'll get you the verses In a minute We're going to go Book of Revelation In just a second Do you realize What's going to happen They shake their fist In his face They mock him They laugh at him They spit at him They have no respect For him Of course when he shows up They're all going to get Real religious You would think But they won't They'll hide They'll look for places To hide But he will find His enemies And he will find Those That hate him And he will Angrily Destroy Them That's isn't a God You think about Is it This isn't You think of a sweet And loving Almost effeminate God But the psalmist Sang a song That said in this In Psalm 21 9 Thou shalt make them As a fiery oven In the time Of thine anger Underline it
[53:21] In the time Of thine anger The Lord Shall swallow Them up In his wrath And the fire Shall destroy Or shall devour Them Now we live In a day Of grace We live in a day Of the church age Where we're actively Trying to get People saved But there is coming A horrible Day Of judgment And this might not be What you think about Might not be what you Ever hear about But God Is going to come And judge The world We must Take this truth That I'm about To show you And we gotta tell people While we can Cause I don't know He just might be here Tonight He might come Before the service Is over And you and I Ought to realize That all the Bible Says is really true And as much as It said about His first coming That came true What he says About his last coming That'll come true Also
[54:21] They must believe Or suffer His wrath I'd like to ask you To go with me To Revelation Chapter 6 And verse 8 If you would And I want you To look it up Really In your Bible I want you To mark it With me Hope you got A paper Bible There with me I hope you just Read it with me In Revelation Chapter 6 And verse 8 And I looked And behold A pale horse And his name That sat on him Was Death And hell Followed With him And power Was given Unto them Over the fourth Part of the earth To kill With sword With hunger With death With the beast Of the earth There's a day Coming And it I'm serious It's a heart attack When I tell you this You ought to believe It's going to happen Today We ought to live
[55:23] Knowing this world Will be burned up And it is of no real Lasting value And when it happens It says here Death and hell Followed After And power Was given over A fourth part I'll look at that With you in a second Go down to 615 If you would Revelation chapter 6 And verse 15 For the sake of time And the kings Of the earth And the great men And the rich men And the chief captains And the mighty men And the slaves Every bond man And every free man Doesn't matter If they're big shots Or little shots Look what they did Underline that In your bible What'd they do What'd they do Help me They hid themselves And what did The psalmist say I'll find you They hid themselves In dens In rocks Of the mountains And they said To the mountains And rocks Fall on us And hide us
[56:24] Underline that Hide us From the face Of him That sits On the throne Now hang on And from the wrath Of the lamb You need to underline that Hide us From the wrath Of the lamb Today he stands With arms wide open And says Come unto me All you that labor And heavy laden But any second Now the trumpet Will sound And it'll all be over And we'll be on our way Out of here And it's gonna All happen Here on earth Verse 17 For the great Day Of his wrath Is come You see that The great day Of his wrath Is come And who shall be able To stand Psalm chapter 21 He said You'll find out
[57:24] Your enemies You'll find out Those that hate you You'll make a fiery oven In your time of anger You'll swallow them In your wrath The fire will destroy them And then he says In verse 10 Even their kids Even their kids Their fruit Shalt thou destroy From the earth And their seed From among the children Of men Psalm chapter 21 Is a Praise That the victory Has been won In David's heart But I really believe It's like Jesus saying You know what It's finally time And I'm back And I'll be crowned And I will Bring back The punishment On them Revelation Chapter 6 And verse 4 If you'll go with me When this Tribulation period Starts And let me explain To you Just quickly The very next thing That's gonna happen
[58:25] On God's timetable Is a rapture And we don't know When that is We call it An imminent rapture Because there's no signs There's no warnings They're not gonna set off The tornado sirens And say Take cover It's not gonna happen We'll just be in a place Like this Or we'll be in our house Or we'll be in our place Of business Or we'll be with our family Or we'll be asleep And it'll happen And we're out of here And shortly thereafter The tribulation period Will start Our family members That don't know Jesus Our friends Our neighbors Will then proceed To live In seven years Of horrible Nightmares Basically Hell On earth Look if you would With me At Revelation Chapter 6 And verse 4 I know I'm not making you Happy and liking me But it's still What it's talking about There went out Another horse That was red And power was given
[59:25] To him That sat on their own To take peace From the earth That they should kill One another There was given unto him A great sword We have enough Senseless killings Going on In our country Young man Running down a road In south Georgia Shot down like an animal In the streets Enough to turn your stomach And make you mad At the world But in Revelation Chapter 6 He will take Peace From the earth You think that was bad What do you think Happens when peace Is gone And they start Killing each other And there's a great sword In Revelation Chapter 6 In verse 8 Which we've already read Where death and hell And a fourth part Of the earth Are killed I want you to realize That's like 2 billion people Are going to die You say Do you really believe that It's written in the book
[60:26] So you don't have to Ever ask me You don't ever have to Ask me If it's written in the book In Revelation Chapter 6 In verse 8 It said A fourth part of the earth To be killed with sword People are going to starve Like it's fixing to happen In Africa With death And even animals Are going to start Eating people In Revelation Chapter 6 In verse 9 And when he had opened The fifth seal I saw under the altar The souls of them Were slain For the word of God And for the testimony Which they held There are people Getting killed Just because They love Jesus We're gone And people are getting saved And lives are being changed And when they get saved They're getting killed for it In Revelation chapter 9 In verse 15 Another third of the world dies The four angels were loosed Which were prepared For an hour And a day And a month And a year To slay the third part Of men
[61:26] That's another 2 billion We've now gone From 8 billion To 4 billion There's no virus Ever done that There's no war Ever done that There's no earthquakes Ever done that There's no tragedy That's ever done that Satan will rise up And try to fight Go back with me To Psalm chapter 21 My time is gone Go back to Psalm chapter 21 Satan will rise up And try to stand Against Jesus Like he always does And he has been doing Since the very beginning Since the Garden of Eden He has been standing Against God And trying to destroy The things of God But he never wins Never has won And never will win In Psalm chapter 21 And verse 11 They intended evil Against thee They intended Underline intended They imagined A mischievous device But they weren't able To do it The devil won't be able To win
[62:27] Therefore they shall Turn their back When thou shalt Make thine arrows Ready Upon the strings Satan will bring War against God But Will lose He always has Been at war And he's always Lost God always wins You need never Worry about that I want you to look At a psalm Go to Psalm 21 13 right now I want you to know This is a psalm of triumph And David sings Boy God you've been Good to me And you got me here And you took me Through it all And you're setting me Back on my throne You've answered my prayer You've gone before me You've destroyed men And he's just Praise you God You're good But some of that Sounds an awful lot Like the book Of Revelation Some of that Sounds like a Forever stuff Like it's talking About God And I just want you To know that even here I really believe This is a foreshadowing Of what's going to happen Even in the Old Testament They knew The Messiah was going to come He was going to set things right
[63:28] And he was going to rule And the psalm ends With Psalm chapter 21 In verse 13 Be thou exalted Lord In thine own strength And we will sing And praise Your power The goal is that God Be magnified The goal is That the Lord Be magnified It is all The strength Of the Lord It is all Him doing it He says Be exalted In your own strength God doesn't need me To lift him up God doesn't need me To make much of him He's God He can make a world He can judge a world He can rule a world And he'll come back And set things right He is God We stand in awe He is almighty God We sing and praise him And we don't praise us We're never much of anything It's all him
[64:29] It's all him We could never save ourselves We could never have victory He has done it all It is all About the great God We serve Let me give you a couple things I remind you To go back I remind you To go back To the first verse And remember That it's the Lord That gives you strength That's how we live That's how we deal With whatever's going on I don't know What's going to happen Right now There's some locusts Eating their way Across Africa And there's a There's a great dearth There was a headline today Something like 25% of the kids in America Are not getting They're living in poverty Not getting enough food Who knows what's true Who knows what's going to happen With the market Who knows what's going to happen With the world Who knows how things Are going to get straightened out All I know is this I'll join his strength I'm not going to join Republican strength I'm not going to join Democrat strength
[65:30] I'm not going to join American strength I want the king Shall join your strength Vision Baptist We will join in his strength And we will know He hears and answers prayer And we will pray to him And we will know That he is good And goes before us And we will know That he will rule And reign We serve The God of heaven The king of kings The ruler of the universe I'll just tell you I don't think it's that long Jesus will return And Jesus will be on his throne And we'll be raptured Out of here Every time the Bible Talks about Jesus is coming It says Be holy Get clean Be ready This is a big deal I don't know You look around At what's going on And all the stuff That's happening in the world You got to think Is he just Is the antichrist practicing I can tell you this He might think He controls the world But in the end
[66:31] God will win He always has And Jesus will be crowned He will rule and reign For a thousand years And that's a story For another day Father I love you And I praise you Bless your people Bring honor to your name In Jesus name Amen I'd like to remind you That you're welcome To join the wedding On Saturday At two o'clock We'll be set up like this And following social distancing Guidelines Plus two o'clock On Saturday And then I would encourage you If your life group Is meeting on Zoom To make sure you know What time And make sure you're Involved in that I don't plan to talk About the church app Every time I come up here Except for the next Six months probably There's about 150 You have been on it So far We have the Zoom Meeting IDs That are found on the app And we just recently Added a tab That will tell you Birthdays and anniversaries So hope you'll go there And check it Make sure we have Anything missing Good till Allison Church secretary Hope you all have A great afternoon
