[0:00] This message was recorded at Vision Baptist Church in Alfred, Georgia. It is our prayer that you will be blessed by the preaching of God's Word.

[0:14] By the way, I didn't mention while I go that Brother Bicenthe is legal now. So I thought that would be interesting. He got saved, got legal. Amen. Go with me to 2 Corinthians 8 and verse 5 if you would.

[0:27] 2 Corinthians 8 and verse 5. You'll hear tonight that God has been doing great and marvelous things at Vision Baptist Church to get the gospel around the world.

[0:39] I'm not going to steal the thunder of our treasurer who does such a job to take care of all those things. But you have been giving, and you're going to hear that report. I really think you're going to be surprised.

[0:50] At least I was surprised and thrilled and excited to hear that. And I haven't really been telling anybody just so you'll get to hear Brother John talk about that in a minute. But this little card's our way to kind of vote on what we're going to do for next year.

[1:04] And so the idea is that you would consider what God would have you do as you give. And so, you know, we don't have a place on here for your name. And you will keep the card for yourself.

[1:14] And you'll just turn in this little piece on the side here that will have the amount. And your name won't go there. And then you'll give faithfully to our missions program. You mark it on your check for missions or you put it on your envelope for missions.

[1:28] And then the guys take care of that and get that to our missionaries. So I want you to be praying, God, what do you want me to do? What can I do more this year that I have done in the past to get the gospel to the world?

[1:40] I want you to turn with me, if you would, to 2 Corinthians 8 and verse 5. And in 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9, 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9, the Bible's talking about a faith promise offering.

[1:52] It wasn't really an offering for world evangelism. It was actually an offering for the churches that were on the mission field to take up money and send back to Jerusalem.

[2:03] And Jerusalem had kind of lost their focus. And instead of sending the gospel out, they had focused on themselves and building their family life center. They had focused on themselves and taking care of their widows.

[2:14] They had focused on themselves and doing things for themselves, but they weren't getting the gospel of the world. And God had raised up another church called Antioch. And Antioch had spread all over the place and people were getting saved and it was a great missions church.

[2:26] And all of a sudden, Jerusalem was in trouble and the apostle Paul said, We have received from them. We ought to bless and give back to them. And so he goes around and says, I want you to give me a promise that by faith you will give a certain amount of money by next year when I come back to collect it.

[2:43] And we'll take it to Jerusalem to help them with the famine that's going on in their land. And this is the verse I want you to consider tonight as you listen to all the preaching and all the things that will go on tonight.

[2:54] 2 Corinthians chapter 8 and verse 5. The Bible said, And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord and unto us by the will of God.

[3:06] I wish you'd underline in your Bible, first gave their own selves. And listen to what I'm going to tell you. God's not that interested in your money. He's interested in you.

[3:18] He wants you. And when he gets you, he'll get your money. And so the whole point is that your time, your talent, and your treasure will be dedicated to the Lord Jesus.

[3:29] And here's what we do in a missions conference. This is what we do in every service we have. We surrender ourselves. I surrender all. All I have, I surrender to Jesus for his kingdom. And so they're taking up an offering.

[3:40] And Paul's going to talk about it in these two chapters. And I'm going to share verses with you for the next few days. I'm going to share verses with you for this passage of scripture. But Paul's taking that up. And Paul said, You know what was so amazing?

[3:51] That wasn't a Jerry Lewis telethon. It wasn't a money-raising scheme. It wasn't trying to twist and manipulate them and guilt them into giving money. When I went in there and talked to them about the need, they gave their heart first.

[4:04] They said, I love God. I love Jesus. And I want to do that. So look at what they did. They gave their own selves. What's it say? To the Lord. I'm his. My money belongs to him.

[4:16] My life belongs to him. Everything I have belongs to him. And so it's his. He can do anything he wants to with it. I'm just a steward of what's his. But then it says something else. It says, and unto us. And only did they give themselves to God.

[4:29] But they gave themselves to the men of God that God was using to carry his gospel around the world. And I know you have. I know that Vision Baptist Church, and you'll hear that report. I know you have done that.

[4:39] You are giving your heart to the Lord Jesus, and you're giving your heart to the men of God. And that's why the church has been blessed by God to give so much money. But tonight, I call on every one of you.

[4:50] Let's just renew it. Man, I'm in love with you, Jesus. I'm in love with you. My money's yours. I'm in love with Jesus. My time is yours. I'm in love with you, Jesus. I want it all to be yours. I'm in love with the men of God that you brought forth to be able to get them, get the gospel to the world.

[5:07] We're going to have Brother Jeff come in just a second and give you an update about what God's been doing with Vision Baptist Missions. But after him, Dallas Brown will come up here. You don't know Dallas very well.

[5:18] But Dallas is an extremely special young man. He's married a girl that's way above him and out of his class. But all good men do that. Amen. But Dallas has gone to the mission field.

[5:30] He has worked in Burkina Faso. He has learned a lot of the language. And he has really shown himself to be exactly what we would look for in a missionary.

[5:40] So when you hear him, I want you to welcome him like somebody you really do know. And then after that, you're going to hear from a bunch of people. I won't be back until the offer. And everybody will know when to come. And you know all of them.

[5:51] But I hope you'll listen and pray for them as they come. Brother Jeff. Well, if you would allow me, give me a couple minutes. I want to share a little, give you a little history of what's going on. It's kind of ironic.

[6:01] A guy who failed history classes for many years in high school now gets to give a history lesson. So I'm enjoying that part. I never thought this day would come, right? But our pastor was a missionary for 18 years in the country of Peru.

[6:15] And God put upon his heart in 2005 to return to the United States. He came back to the United States in 2005. And in 2006, officially, Vision Baptist Church was started. Well, it was about three years into that.

[6:28] And our first missionary from Vision Baptist Church was ready to leave, Mark Tolson. He wanted to go to China. And so they worked it out. He said he wanted to go through the church, went back and forth.

[6:38] And the pastor said, okay, let's go through the church. And he started to head out. And God began to bless. And so it started in 2009 with just one guy. Well, quickly it started. And Vision Baptist Mission was formed.

[6:49] And it was only for men that were from this church. Well, very soon, some men from other like-minded churches in the area jumped on board. And God began to bless. And God's beginning to bless. And God has blessed ever since.

[7:01] At this current moment, we have 37 families going into all parts of the world. And we're very thankful for that. We have over 1,000 churches that support our missionaries through Vision Baptist Mission every month.

[7:12] We're very thankful for that. God has been very good to us. And one of our goals is not just to maintain the blessings that God has given us, to be proactive at the same time, to push forward. And we go into Christian schools and conferences and other places.

[7:25] And we share with other young people what God is doing. One of our goals at Vision Baptist Missions is not that we'll just send missionaries around the world, but that missionaries will be equipped and be prepared.

[7:37] And therefore, Vision Baptist Missions has a goal of keeping them accountable with their finances and with their family and with many other areas. And God has been very good to us. But let me say, all of this would not be possible if it was not for Vision Baptist Church.

[7:51] You see, Vision Baptist Church is kind of the backbone for everything that's happening in Vision Baptist Missions. And so when Pastor comes up here and Pastor speaks to us about giving to our faith promise, that speaks much more than just our financial obligations.

[8:03] That's saying that you and I, as church members, we decide and we gather and we unify so that we can pray for them, that we can give of our children, that we can give of our love and of our influence and of our time, and even of our money so that other people can leave from here and then go all around the world and they can share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

[8:20] If you have your Bibles, please turn to Matthew chapter number 13 and verse number 44.

[8:33] Matthew chapter 13, verse number 44. We're just going to read the one verse, but in that verse you find a parable of Jesus Christ. And as you're turning there, I just want to take a moment. I want to thank you, church, for inviting us to come.

[8:43] I look forward to getting all of you a little bit better. And it's a privilege to be a part of Vision Baptist Missions. And I love your pastor, and I'm very thankful for all the time that he's invested in me.

[8:55] So Matthew chapter number 13, verse number 44. If you'll follow along, it says this. Again the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field, the which when a man hath found, he hideth.

[9:08] And for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath and buyeth that field. So in the parable you find a passage, and it describes a man that he finds treasure in a field.

[9:20] And so what I'd like you to do is I'd like you just to use your mind. Imagine with me that this is you in this situation. So put yourself in this situation. Imagine on the way to church tonight you decided you were going to walk instead of drive. And as you walked along the side of the road, you decided you were going to cut through a field.

[9:34] And so you get to the center, and all of a sudden you trip over something. And in the center of the field you've tripped over, it's just a large box kind of down in the ground. So you open it up, and you see what's inside. And inside is a massive treasure.

[9:45] I mean, there are stacks of gold and diamonds in there. And so you take a moment, and you calculate how much it all might be worth. And you realize that the treasure that you have found is not worth thousands of dollars.

[9:56] It's not worth millions of dollars. But you have billions of dollars worth of treasure. And now let's say that you decide, obviously the man in the parable, he decided it would be dishonest of him to take the treasure out of the field.

[10:08] But if he buys that field, then what's in the field belongs to him. And he'll legitimately have gained it. And so he says, he goes, he finds the owner, he finds out how much it cost. He didn't have enough money to buy the field, but he had a plan.

[10:21] He said he was going to go and sell everything that he had so that he could buy that field. Now, if this was me in this situation, I'd probably do the same thing. I mean, I've got a car in the parking lot. It's a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.

[10:32] God gave it to us for deputation. It's been such a blessing. My wife and I, we really enjoy it. But you know what? I'm willing to sell that to anybody that's willing to buy for it so that I can buy that field and go get that treasure. Why? Because when I say billions of dollars and I put it up against my car, it kind of is an easy decision there.

[10:48] I say the value of that treasure is just so much more valuable. You know, I can go to my house and I'll sell you absolutely everything in there. I'll sell you the shoes off my feet, the jacket off my back.

[10:58] Ladies, if you decide you like my wife's earrings, I'll pin her down. I'll pull the earrings out of her ears and I'll sell you those too. Why? Because everything I own, it's just not all that valuable when I put it up against that treasure of billions, right?

[11:11] Now, I mean, I can go furthermore. Let's say that this was a real story and I walked in here today and I didn't have my shoes on and I didn't have a jacket. My wife didn't have her earrings because, and she's mad at me because I sold them. And we walk in and you see me and the last thing, I need two more dollars and the only thing I have left is my socks and I'm wagging my socks around trying to sell them to you.

[11:29] For my last two dollars to run out and go by the field, what are you going to say about me? You say, you're crazy, son. What's wrong with you? Right? Wouldn't you? But you know what? Would that deter me at all? I'd say no.

[11:41] Of course not. Why? The treasure is so valuable. There's nothing that would stop me from getting it. And we can all agree that we'd be willing maybe to do that, to sell of our things and give of ourselves for the earthly treasure of that.

[11:53] But you know, in the passage there, it says, the kingdom of heaven is likened to this. A treasure found in the field. Let me declare to your church the value of the kingdom of heaven. And it kind of makes everything that we do to obtain the kingdom of heaven, it's kind of worth it, right?

[12:06] And as we give of our lives to go and serve in different areas of the world, all these countries represented here, it's completely worth it when we consider the value of the kingdom of heaven. We consider the things that we do for the kingdom of heaven, that's eternal.

[12:19] That'll last longer than us. The things that we have here, they'll fade away and they die with us. But you know what? The passage there, we find a man and he does all this, but he does it with joy. I won't read it again, but it says that he did all this with joy.

[12:33] Why? Because the treasure was so valuable. He can drag everything he owns to the street and sell it with joy because the treasure was that valuable. And we can serve the Lord with joy. We can give of our time, our lives, our money, and everything in between.

[12:45] And we can do all of it with joy. Why? Because the reward is just that valuable. And the kingdom of heaven is so much more valuable than anything we could ever have in this life. Thank you very much. Go with me to the book of 1 Samuel in chapter 14 and in verse 6.

[13:00] And in 1 Samuel chapters 13 and 14, you find out that Israel is in a desperate situation. They are in a battle with the Philistines. They are fixing to face the Philistines in battle.

[13:10] And they are highly outnumbered. The Israelite army, Saul only has with him about 600 men, while the Philistines have over 30,000 chariots, 6,000 horsemen, and people as sand on the seashore, which is without number.

[13:26] You find out that the people are afraid. You find out that they are trembling. And you find out as you go down that only people that had weapons in the whole army were Saul and his son Jonathan. Every other Israelite person was bringing some hoe or some axe from the farm or some other implement that they were going to try to use to fight this battle.

[13:43] You see that Israel is in a very desperate situation. You see that they are outnumbered. You see that they are in front of this battle, that it looks like they will be utterly defeated.

[13:54] But you go on and you read on in chapter 14 and verse 23, and you read this. It says, You find out that at the end of the story, Israel, they win a great victory.

[14:09] They win a great battle. And you ask yourself the question, how did this happen? How in the world did Israel go from this desperate situation they were in to winning this battle?

[14:20] And the answer is, there was a man that God used, a man that stepped down, trusted God, and went over to the battle. In 1 Samuel chapter 14 and verse 6, the Bible says, And Jonathan said to the young man that bears armor, Come and let us go over into the garrison of these uncircumcised.

[14:36] It may be that the Lord will work for us, for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few. You see, there was a young man named Jonathan, the king's son, that he decided everybody else is just sitting still, everybody else is afraid.

[14:51] I'm going to step out in faith. I'm going to trust God. I'm going to go over to this battle, and I'm just going to see what God is going to do. He took a chance. He trusted God. He said, God, I'm just going to go over there, and it may be that the Lord will work for us.

[15:05] You see, Jonathan knew some things. He knew that in and of himself, he couldn't win this battle, but he knew a great God that could. In and of himself, he didn't have the ability, but he knew that if nobody moved, if he didn't go over to the battle, nothing would happen.

[15:19] The victory would not be won until someone made a stand and went over and trusted God and went into the battle. He trusted God, and God won a great victory that day.

[15:29] He said, it may be that the Lord will work for us. You read the story. God worked in a great way. He saved the Israelite army, and a great battle was won that day. It's an amazing story, but now you ask me, Canon, we're so many years later.

[15:41] We're in 2016. What does this story mean for me today? And the answer is this. This world we're in is in a desperate situation. There are souls all around us that desperately need the good news of Jesus Christ.

[15:54] There are people dying and going to hell. We need great revival. We need souls to be saved. This world is in a desperate situation. You say, how will this take place? How will these people be reached?

[16:05] How will this battle be won? And here's what we need. We need people like you. We need someone in your shoes today to say, I'm not much, but I serve a great God. And I'm going to make a decision in my life to step out in faith, and go over to the battle to engage Satan in conflict, to take the gospel around this world, because it may be that our great God will work in a great way and do a great victory.

[16:30] We need people that will step out in faith, risk their life, risk their time, risk their finances, and see what our great God will do. Will you be that person today? Will you step out and say, I'll be like Jonathan.

[16:41] I'm going to go over to the battle. I'm not much. I don't have it in myself, but I serve a great God. And I'm going to step out in faith and take this gospel to the people that so desperately need it. God bless you all. Open your Bibles with me to John chapter 18.

[16:55] John chapter 18. The truth. The truth. In the age that we live in, the only truth that is worshipped is that there is no truth. Yet in the middle of all this, Jesus came so we could know truth.

[17:08] We're going to be in John chapter 18, beginning in verse 37. And Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.

[17:25] Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice. You see, Jesus came to bear witness of the truth. That's why he came. And you know what? God wants you to be a witness for the truth as well.

[17:37] See, Jesus was sent to be a witness. He was born to be a witness, and he lived as a witness to the truth. The Bible says he came full of grace and truth. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

[17:49] In the middle of all the confusion in this world, when we're trying to figure out what is truth, Jesus is that truth. He taught the people about the truth.

[18:01] But Jesus didn't just live to tell the truth. He died to witness the truth. The truth that God loves this world. The truth that God loves sinners enough to send his own son to die.

[18:13] Jesus was the witness in his life and in his death. The Bible says, but God commendeth his love toward us. And that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

[18:25] Jesus lived, and Jesus died, and Jesus came as a witness for the truth. The truth is that God loves you there in your sin and in your guilt and in your mess.

[18:40] Jesus testified of God's love for you, that you could be saved. Will you believe the testimony of Jesus, of the truth? It would be a shame to be here at Vision Baptist Church where we lift up Jesus.

[18:53] That you could be saved best for you to make sure that you need to accept in truth.

[19:22] in truth. God wants you to be a witness. Jesus said he was born to be a witness. And if you're born again, you have been born again to be a witness of that truth.

[19:34] This is what you're made for. This is why we take the gospel to the nations. This is why we have missions conference here. This is why we are here tonight. We're meant to be conveyor belts of truth, not a shelf. It's not supposed to sit on our lives and be stagnant. It's supposed to stand there and move to others that they might know Jesus.

[19:57] Because if you're born again, you have something to talk about. And you're a witness. A witness talks about what he's seen, what he's heard. And if you're saved, you've seen something and you've heard something. But I have to ask you the question tonight, friend.

[20:15] Will you pay the price to be a witness? Jesus, they crucified him. The disciples, they crucified him. The apostle Paul, they didn't crucify him. They killed him. There is a price that you must pay. Are you willing to pay the price to be a witness?

[20:34] While many are still searching in darkness for the truth, the light is shining out of the darkness. The truth is there and you have that truth. And child of God, I plead with you, be a witness for the truth.

[20:55] Hey, thank you. There's a lot of people running around up here. I mean, pastor's right. I can't see any of you.

[21:08] I was sharing some numbers with the pastoral staff the other night. And I told Brother Austin, kind of in a roundabout way, I said, really, no treasurer in his right mind would share these numbers with their pastor because it may lead you to think and do crazy things.

[21:21] But this is all to the glory of God. I've had a slide, if they'll put it up on the screen there, about, you know, we go from September to September with respect to giving.

[21:32] And I want to show you what's happened over the last three years. The top line is the faith promise. That's the total of the cards that were handed in at the faith promise Sunday for the last three years.

[21:44] And from 2013 to 2014, September to September, was promised $103,891. What we got was, what we received was $112,890, which was almost $9,000 over the faith promise.

[21:59] But in addition to that, you all gave an additional $42,000 just where you wrote a missionary, a check specifically to a missionary through the church. And we got that to them.

[22:11] And there were 62 either couples or individuals. And those of you who put money in an envelope and just write faith promise on it, and that you count as one of those individuals, whoever you are, if you don't put your name on there.

[22:26] So that was 62. And then from 2014 to 2015, the faith promise cards totaled $112,798. What you gave was $142,297, which is $29,000 more than was promised.

[22:41] And then in addition to that, you gave $19,260 just as special gifts designated for missionaries. And then last year, faith promise cards were $122,830.

[22:55] What you gave was $161,749, which is $38,000 above what you promised. And then in addition, sorry, $39,000, rounding up, $39,000.

[23:13] And then on top of that, you gave $43,061 on top of that. That was $204,000 given to missions from Vision Baptist Church last year from September to September.

[23:27] And you can see the involvement is growing too. It's gone from 62 to 79 and 96. And then so it means more people are getting involved in it. And then at the very end, life of church so far, Vision Baptist Church, you all have given $1,425,000.

[23:44] Hey, $1,426,000. Commissions. And so that's a great report to get to give.

[23:57] I'll tell you, I am Mr. Conservative on budgeting. And even last year, I budgeted above $122,000 because I knew it was probably going to come in a little bit more. But you even exceeded Mr. Conservative's budget by giving $161,000.

[24:11] All the glory goes to God for all that he's doing here. And so we're going to praise him and we're going to pray over the offering. And just thank him for all that he's doing here at Vision Baptist Church. Let's pray. Father, we love you.

[24:22] We thank you for all that you are. We just praise your name for all that you're doing through your people. Lord, in times when people have lost their jobs, in times when situations have been difficult, economic times have been hard, your people have continued to give.

[24:37] And they've taught others to give. As we see the number of people that are giving is even growing. And, Father, we just praise you for the way you're working in our midst. We give all the glory and honor to you. But, Lord, we ask you this year, help us to do even more than we've ever done before for your name's sake.

[24:52] And we'll give you all the praise. In Jesus' name, amen. But, Josh Wormley, I believe God's going to use Josh. I believe God's going to let him see souls saved. Then be Cynthia Garcia.

[25:03] And we'll have a song. Thank you very much as you listen to Josh as he comes to preach to you. Turn your Bibles to Psalms chapter 96. Psalms chapter number 96. And if you don't have a Bible, that's fine.

[25:16] Just soak in these words as I read them. And it's a little bit longer of a text, but it's extremely worthy of our time this night, I think. It says in Psalms chapter 96, Oh, sing unto the Lord a new song.

[25:27] Sing unto the Lord all the earth. Sing unto the Lord. Bless his name. Show forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

[25:37] For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols. But the Lord made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before him.

[25:49] Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Give unto the Lord all ye kindreds of the people. Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name.

[25:59] Bring an offering and come into his courts. O worship the Lord and the beauty of holiness. Fear before him all the earth. Say among the heathens that the Lord reigneth. The world also shall be established that it shall not be moved.

[26:13] He shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice and let the earth be glad. Let the sea roar in the fullness thereof. Let the field be joyful in all that is therein.

[26:24] Then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord. For he cometh. For he cometh to judge the earth. For he shall judge the world with righteousness and the people with his truth.

[26:36] And so this evening as we hear great preachers, people who love the Lord. As we hear the money that is being given and the time that is being spent. And we hear about people going over to Africa and we see the faces of them.

[26:48] And how excited we are. The reason for missions. The reason for everything that we do as followers of Christ is for this one reason. It's for the glory of our great God.

[27:01] Because he is worth it. And so why would people give up and go somewhere else? Why would people give up so much of their money? You know, it doesn't make sense apart from the worthiness of God.

[27:13] And we're not going to go to Revelations. But if you were to go to Revelations 4 and 5 and read about the angels and the people from every tribe and every tongue. Who are standing around the throne of God.

[27:24] And they're singing worthy. He is worthy. He is worthy. And they don't do that because they got to. They don't do that because, you know, they're in heaven.

[27:34] They got to do it for a couple of years. And then they can go off on the streets of gold. They do it because he is worthy. Because that is the only response that we could possibly have. And so in this Psalms, as we look at it.

[27:47] And we see, man, our God is good. Our God is worthy. And he deserves to be worshipped. And so we go and we give of our time. We give of our lives.

[27:58] We give of our resources. Because there are souls all across this world. Christ died so that all might be saved. And so that they might worship him. Because he is worthy.

[28:09] And so tonight, we do all that we are doing here. Because our God is worthy. Because he has done so much for us. And now the only response that we could possibly have.

[28:21] In response to his goodness and his love and his mercy and his grace towards us. Is to go and share and say, hey, like the song said. Come and see of our great God.

[28:33] Come and see of how he loved you and died on the cross. Come and see how you can have a relationship for all eternity with our God. Amen. Los invita a abrir su Biblia en Primera de Samuel, capítulo 17.

[28:51] Primera de Samuel, capítulo 17. I'm good. I'm deaf. First Samuel 17. Primera de Samuel, capítulo 17, versículo 16, 17, 18.

[29:03] First Samuel 17, verses 16, 17, 18. Venía pues aquel filisteo por la mañana y por la tarde. Yes. Y así lo hizo durante cuarenta días.

[29:14] So he'd done that for 40 days. Y dijo Isaí a David a su hijo. And David said to his son, Toma ahora para tus hermanos un efa de este grano.

[29:28] Okay. Take now for thy brother and an efa of the parched corn. Y estos diez panes. These ten loaves. Llévalo pronto al campamento a tus hermanos. Run to the camp to thy brethren. Versículo 18. Verse 18.

[29:38] Y estos diez quesos de leche los llevarás al jefe de los mil. And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of the thousand. Vemos hermanos aquí una historia. We see a story here.

[29:49] De David. Of David. Aquí vemos un padre. We see a father. Dando una misión a su hijo David. Giving his son a mission. La misión del hijo no era difícil.

[30:00] The job of the son wasn't that difficult. But right in the middle of the story. Vemos que en la misión encuentra una oportunidad. But we see that right there in the mission there was an opportunity.

[30:11] Versículo 16. Verse number 16. Venía pues aquel filisteo por la mañana y por la tarde. The filistean drew near morning and in the evening. Y así lo hizo por cuarenta años. And there he did that for forty days.

[30:23] Cuando David vino a dejar el queso, el pan tostado. When David came to bring up the bread and the cheese. David escuchó. David heard. A este filisteo. This filistine.

[30:34] Que insultaba al pueblo de Israel. That he began to talk bad about the Israelites. Y pedía un hombre. He asked for one man. Dame un hombre. He said give me a man. Hermanos. Si vemos la vida de David.

[30:45] ¿Quién era David? If we look at David. Who was David? Era un este. Que cuidaba huejas. Un pastor. He was just a young man who was watching over the sheep. Aquí vemos hermanos.

[30:56] Que Dios estaba preparando la vida de David. But we saw there that God was preparing David's life. Porque cuando escucha David. La voz de este Goliath. Because when David hears Goliath. David no se queda quieto.

[31:07] David doesn't just stand there. David era celoso. David begins to get jealous. That's his God. Y se presenta con Saul. So he presented himself to Saul. Saul. Déjame ir a pelear con este hombre.

[31:18] He said king. You got to let me go fight this guy. Estás niño. Estás joven. And Saul said. You're just a kid. You're not prepared. David empieza a hablar de él y de su padre.

[31:30] But David begins to speak about him and his dad. He said I'm Jesse's son. Tu siervo. I'm your servant. Yo soy un siervo. I'm just nothing more than a servant.

[31:40] Hermanos. El nombre me hace recordar de nuestro Señor Jesucristo cuando vino a la tierra. Brethren. That reminds me of what Jesus did when he came to the serve. Él vino a servir. He came here to serve.

[31:51] Y hermanos. ¿Saben? En esta misión que un padre responsable a sus hijos. And in this mission that a responsible father gave to his son. David recibe una oportunidad. David receives a opportunity.

[32:03] Y David no la dejó pasar. And David did not let that opportunity go by. Me hace recordar hermanos. Aquí en el versículo 17. Un padre responsable. It reminds me in verse number 17.

[32:14] Of a responsible father. Hermanos. Nuestro padre es responsable a sus hijos. And our God. He's responsible for his children. In everything that we need. Pero está buscando un siervo como David.

[32:27] But God is looking for a servant like David. Quien lleve pan. Someone who will just take the bread. Para poder pear. So that he can go out there and fight. So he can go live. David. David.

[32:38] Al ver que no había una persona. Quien pudiera pelear con este hombre. David when he saw that nobody else would stand up against that man. Tomó ese lugar. He took that place. Déjeme ir. He said let me go.

[32:49] Y necesitamos hombres como David. And we need men like David. Si estamos aquí esta noche. If you're here this evening. If you're here this evening. And all this weekend that we're here. Quiero que te lleves esto en tu corazón.

[32:59] I want you to take something home in your heart. God is looking for a servant. Para poder avanzar en la misión. Someone who will go take his mission forth. Mucha gente está endureciendo el corazón a las misiones.

[33:12] Many people are hardening their heart towards missions. Y mucha gente está padeciendo. Many people are dying. Hermanos. La voz. Le comando de Dios. The voice and the command of our God. Tenemos que obedecerlo.

[33:23] We've got to obey us. Cueste lo que cueste. It doesn't matter what it costs. Hay pruebas en la misión. Of course there's problems. Hay pruebas en la misión. Of course there's temptations. Pero no importa. Tenemos que lograrlo. But it doesn't matter what there is.

[33:34] We have to grab a hold of it. David se presentó. Con Goliat. David presented himself before Goliath. He started trusting in God. Los otros no veían a Dios. The others didn't see God. Like David did.

[33:45] Muchos de aquí. No ven. In many of us. A nuestro Dios. We don't see our God. Like I see it. Like servants of God should see it. I challenge you.

[33:56] Confía en Dios. Trust in God. Lo podemos hacer. We can do it brethren. Porque está Dios con nosotros. Because God's with us. Que Dios los bendiga. May God bless you. This message was recorded at Vision Baptist Church in Alfredo, Georgia.
