[0:00] This message was recorded at Vision Baptist Church in Alfred, Georgia. It is our prayer that you will be blessed by the preaching of God's Word. We praise the Lord that we have been saved by a wonderful Savior. Amen?
[0:11] Take your Bible. Go with me to Matthew 6, verse 19. Matthew 6, verse 19. I'm excited to be able to share with you today that you can trust Him to take care of you.
[0:21] You can trust Him to take care of you. And that's what we're going to look at in Matthew 6. And I hope you have your Bible open and that you'll read with me from verse 19 down to the end of the chapter.
[0:32] The Bible says, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, where thieves do not break through nor steal.
[0:48] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye. If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
[0:58] But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness. No man can serve two masters.
[1:10] For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor yet for your body what you shall put on.
[1:27] Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold, the fowls of the air, they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather in the barns. Yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
[1:38] Are you not much better than they? Which of you, by taking thought, can add one cubit unto his statue? And what have you thought, why take you thought for raiment? Consider the litters of the field, how they grow, they toil not, neither do they spin.
[1:54] Yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothed the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast in the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
[2:11] Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek. Your heavenly Father knows you have need of all these things.
[2:22] But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
[2:34] Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Let's pray, please. Father, I pray that you would help us now as we open your word, and as we begin to study and learn what you're saying to us in this passage of scripture.
[2:47] God, I pray that your people would trust you with their health, trust you with their security, trust you with their future, trust you with their finances. I pray that you would help us to be people of faith, knowing that you're a great God and do great things in our lives.
[3:03] I pray, God, that you'd help us today to put Jesus in the place in our heart that he's supposed to be. That we would be recognizing you as the Lord, since you are the Lord, and we are only going to recognize you for who you are.
[3:18] God, we love you and praise you and magnify you. In Jesus' name, amen. Well, take your Bible, go with me to Matthew chapter 6 and verse 19. And the first thing I want you to notice, if you have your Bible open, three times you'll find the word treasure in verses 19 through 21.
[3:33] He's talking about what to do with our treasures. In chapter 6, verse 19, he talks about treasure on earth. In verse 20, treasures in heaven. And then he says where your treasure is in verse 21.
[3:45] Earthly treasures are easily lost. Thieves can get to what you have on earth. Wear and tear, waste and age can destroy what you have on earth.
[3:57] What you put in heaven, that lasts. No thief can get to it. It will not rust or be destroyed by the elements. Your treasure directs your heart.
[4:08] Your treasure directs your heart. Look, if you would, in verse 21, Matthew 6, 21. The Bible says where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
[4:18] In other words, your heart follows your money. Where you put your money, that's where your heart is going to go. You're going to go where things are important to you, what's valuable to you.
[4:30] I can remember very well as we went to the mission field, my parents became much more missionary oriented. When their kids lived in Peru, my dad became a big missions giver, a big missions advocate.
[4:44] He talked to everybody out, missionaries. He never did that before. But when his children and his grandchildren moved, that's when that will change your heart. Because you love your children, and all of a sudden you're interested in what they're doing.
[4:55] So where you put your treasure, your heart is quick to follow. How many of you understand it? Say amen. You know, I lived in Mexico. I lived in Mexico, and there's a joke about the people in Monterrey, Mexico.
[5:08] Do we have anybody from Monterrey, Mexico here today? Because I'm fixing to make a joke about you. Anyway, they say that the people in Monterrey are very stingy.
[5:18] And so they have a nickname for them. They call them Elbow Covo. And that means you hit them in the covo, and that opens their hand. And they talk about how stingy they are. The only way they spend money is when they rub it, because that's a saying in Spanish.
[5:30] So the guy from Monterrey walks in the bathroom, and he looks down, and he sees a silver dollar in the toilet. And he says, I cannot believe that. I need that silver dollar. But he said, I could never stick my hand in there for a silver dollar.
[5:43] So he throws one in there. He said, maybe not for one, but for two. I can go for it. Your heart follows your treasure. That's what the Bible teaches us.
[5:53] Your heart follows your treasure. If you put your treasures in heaven and the things of God, then your heart will go there also. If you ever put money in the stock market and watch what happens to your heart.
[6:06] You know, I've been in homes. My wife grew up in a home where the stock market was where everything was. And when you go in the house, you don't watch cowboys and Indians. Not during working day.
[6:16] You don't watch soap operas. The business channel is on there, and that ticker tape is running across the bottom. And every so often he comes through and says, what was the last time it went through? He wants to know. He wanted to know what it was because where your money is, that's where your heart is.
[6:32] Where your money is, that's where your heart is. Your whole life is transformed into the image of what is most precious to you. Where are you putting your treasure?
[6:44] What is most important to you? Where is what captures your heart? Where is what is the imagination of love? What is it you love? What captures your imagination?
[6:55] So the Bible is clear. And do you not understand where you put your money? That's the most important thing in the world. And if you put your money here on earth, you can lose everything.
[7:05] In Argentina, where Jeff and Mindy used to live, people had their money in the bank. One day the government just walked out and said, all your dollar bills, all your accounts are now frozen.
[7:17] Those people never got their money. One day they woke up rich. The next day they woke up broke. In other words, money on earth is a transitory temporal thing.
[7:28] You do not know how long you get it. So Jesus said, I want you to get a hold of a big truth. Put your money in heaven. That way you'll know it'll be safe. Put your money in things that are of real value.
[7:40] And that way you'll know that it'll be okay. Now if you would, go with me to verse 22. Matthew 6.22. And this is a verse that I think confuses most people when they read it.
[7:50] Matthew 6.22 for a long time caused me a great deal of trouble. 6.22 and 6.23. The Bible says this. The light of the body is the eye. If therefore thine eye be single, the whole body shall be full of light.
[8:05] So look at the word if you would. It says if your eye is single, that means not divided, not two, not three, not four. If you have one single focus, the Bible says your whole body will be full of light.
[8:18] Now you've got to remember what he's talking about. You've got to remember what he's talking about. He's talking about your treasure. He's talking about who you trust. He's talking about who your master is. That's what the passage of scripture is about.
[8:29] And so if I can focus on one, my body will be full of light. And if I focus on the wrong thing, my body will be full of darkness. Look at Matthew 6.23.
[8:40] Look what the Bible says. In Matthew 6.23, if your eye be evil, the whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that's in there be darkness, how great is that darkness.
[8:51] So if I look at light, my body will be full of light. If I look at darkness, my body will be full of darkness. If I look at the wrong master, my body will be full of darkness. You can only serve.
[9:02] You're about to read that. It's all in context. And he's building up his case. He's about to say to you, you can only serve God or money or material things. You can only serve God or mammon.
[9:12] You can't serve both. And so if your eye is focused on the wrong thing, your body is going to be filled with that. By the way, if you can imagine a man that's married having his eye. And you know, I got my eye on Betty.
[9:23] We're going to probably be in good shape. But if I ever looked at Ray and checked out another woman and got my eyes on another woman, I'd probably get that eye blacked. She'd probably busted one real good.
[9:34] And I would be full of darkness. Say amen right there. So the idea is where are you focusing? What are you looking on? What is important to you? And by the way, it's really a confusion thing when you try to do both.
[9:47] Some of us are like, I love God and I got my own God. But I got to keep my eye on the stock market. I got to keep my eye on my race car. I got to keep my eye on my retirement fund. And we're divided and it's causing us issues.
[9:58] Jesus said, guys, hey, guys, listen to me. He said treasure. Where your treasure is, there's your heart. And by the way, where you're looking determines how full you are of light.
[10:09] So let me show you some things you might notice there. What your eye looks at fills your body. He wants your eye to be single, devoted to him. It means your treasures going in one direction.
[10:21] It means not serving two masters. If you focus on the Lord, his will, his glory, his purposes, then your life will have purpose. His light will give you direction.
[10:33] His light will help you not be confused or disoriented. But if your focus is not on him, then it's an evil eye. You see, when your eye is on anybody but the Lord Jesus, that's an evil eye. And when it's an evil eye, it means you'll be filled with darkness.
[10:45] You will be doing your own thing, not his. You'll be living in confusion and frustration. Since your focus will be on yourself, you will never be able to be satisfied.
[10:57] You see, when you focus on yourself, you can't be satisfied. By the way, if what you have doesn't satisfy you right now, what tells you that you'd be satisfied if you had ten more dollars?
[11:07] If you say, my hundred dollars doesn't satisfy me, but a thousand would, the truth is, a hundred doesn't satisfy you, a thousand won't satisfy you. Because your eye is focused on the wrong thing. It's focused on you.
[11:18] You're looking at yourself. You're worried about yourself. And he said, I want you to focus on me. Where's your treasure? Where's your eye? What are you focused? What's the focus of your life? Are you setting your eyes on things above?
[11:31] Is your heart set on the things of God? What do you give yourself to? Can you honestly say that Jesus is your life and purpose? Is it honest to say, to live is Christ, to die is gain.
[11:45] Is today the day you need to refocus your eyes? Is today the day you need to refocus your eyes? That leads you into verse 23. Look at Matthew 6, 23. He's preaching a sermon.
[11:57] He said, hey guys, let's talk about your treasure. Where's your treasure? Let's talk about your eyes. Where are your eyes? And now he said, let's talk about who you love. Let's talk about who you master. You have to choose.
[12:07] In Matthew 6, 24, he says, no man can serve two masters. Because you've got to hate one and love the other. You've got to hold one and despise the other. You can't serve God and mammon.
[12:20] You can't serve God and anything. You write, write a circle around, draw a circle around the word mammon. And in the margin of your Bible, you can put material goods. You can put money. But the truth is, you could easily put anything you want.
[12:32] Some of us focus so much on our family that we have chosen our family over God. Some of us focus on our future so much we've chosen our future over God.
[12:42] Some of us focus so much on our material goods we've chosen material goods over God. But he said, you have to choose. By the way, you have chosen. Everybody in this room has already got a date.
[12:53] We all got a date. We all got a girl we're taking with us. We all got a guy we're going with. We've all chosen somebody right now. So this isn't a priority thing.
[13:05] Some of us want to say, well, God first. But right up there with him, that's my money. No, it is. Love one, hate the other. Love one, hate the other.
[13:16] We can't say, well, I love God first. But then my possessions. It's an either or situation. You must love one. You must serve one. Actually, we hate one and we despise one or the other.
[13:31] We're either living our lives for him or ourselves. Things dominate us or he dominates us. That doesn't mean tomorrow all of y'all going to wake up and say, that's it. I can't go to work anymore.
[13:42] Not allowed to make money anymore. That's not the point. The point is, where's your focus? What do you do with your treasure? The focus is, where are you putting your eyes? The focus is, who dominates your life?
[13:53] Do you not understand that if you have a desire outside of God, it's an easy trap to get you messed up in? Do you not understand when you love something equally as you do God, it's easy to get you messed up?
[14:08] In a few minutes, you're going to read a verse that says, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And all these things will be added to you. You're going to read that verse in just a minute. The whole point was, God wants to be number one.
[14:19] God wants you to go to work and say, I'm at work. But here at work, I'm going to honor God. I'm going to live in a way that brings glory to God. And the time I have, I'll do it like I'm doing it for God. And the money I make, I'll use that money for the things of God.
[14:32] And the time and the talents I got for God, I live my life for God. Because I put him first. You've got to choose who you will serve.
[14:42] You have to choose who you will serve. You have to choose what you're looking for. God wants you to put him first. He's a jealous God. He wants to be number one. Betty doesn't want me coming home talking about some other girl.
[14:56] Betty doesn't want me coming home and saying, Betty, I love you and I'm glad I get to come home to you. But I spend 10 hours with another lady and she captures my heart. And even when I'm home here, I want to talk to you about her.
[15:07] Betty would be like, oh no, we don't do it that way. You've got to choose me or her. Amen? Well, that's exactly what's going on here. God says, no, you love me. You put me first. First, I am the goal of your life.
[15:19] I'm the reason you get up in the morning. I'm the reason you go to work. I'm the reason everything you do. I am him. Look, if you would, where are you supposed to focus?
[15:29] Go to Matthew chapter 6 and verse 25. He's going to make some thoughts now. You've got to watch him. He's progressing. He's a preacher. This is called the Sermon on the Mount. In this section of the sermon, he starts off saying, hey, let's talk about your treasure.
[15:41] Where's your treasure? Then he says, hey, where's your eye? And he says, where's your heart? What are you loving? Who are you loving? And he said, I want to talk to you about your mind. So I want you to get your mind on the right thing.
[15:53] He says, take no thought. Now, we don't do that. He's going to say something really wild and crazy. You can only get away with this if you're God. He says, you're not to worry about food and drink and body, clothes.
[16:07] You're just to trust God. So verse 25, would you underline the word, take no thought? Look at it. Therefore, I say unto you, take no thought. For your life, what you're going to eat, what you're going to drink, or your body, what you're going to put on it, or your life.
[16:22] Because your life's more than meat. Your body's more than clothes. The files of the air, they don't sow. They don't reap. They don't gather in the barns. Yet your heavenly father takes care of them. And aren't y'all better off?
[16:32] Aren't y'all better in God's eyes than a bird? Aren't y'all better than an animal in God's eyes? Now watch him. Are you seeing the progression? He says, I want to talk to you about your treasure. I really want you to put your treasure with me.
[16:44] I really want you to look at me. I really want you to love me. And I really want you to quit thinking about junk. It has nothing to do with me. Take no thought for all these things.
[16:55] So he said, God wants to be the center of our thoughts and our lives. God wants to be our focus. He wants to be what we love and hold on to. He wants us to realize that he loves us and he takes care of us.
[17:06] Look at verse 27. He said, by the way, when y'all do take thought to things, you can't change much. That's what he's going to say in this verse. He said, y'all get worried about it and y'all think about it, but you don't change much.
[17:18] He says in verse 27, which of you by taking thought, underline taking thought, because remember he told you don't take thought. He says, so which of you by taking thought can grow 18 inches?
[17:28] You know, when you're about seventh grade one day or sixth grade one day, you realize you have got to do something to grow.
[17:39] You're like sixth grade or seventh grade and you are still small. And you're thinking to yourself, I have got to grow. And you want to grow. But you can think about it all you want. It ain't going to happen. You can, you can, you can, I used to get in the bed.
[17:51] We had an old brass, it wasn't brass, it was cheap looking stuff, imitation brass. But I grabbed the head and I grabbed the foot and I'd stretch. Didn't help a bit. I went to high school in 11th grade and I was only like five, six.
[18:04] I went back and I went back in 12th grade. I was five, six, one. All of a sudden I just grew. I taking thought didn't do it, but I still didn't get 18 inches. He said, I want you to get a hold of something. You can think about all you want.
[18:14] You can worry about all you want, but you ain't going, you're not going to grow a cubit or 18 inches. He says, hey, look at this. Take, why do you take thought for your clothing?
[18:24] In verse 28, why are you worried about am I going to get anything to wear? Am I going to have any clothes? Why are you worried about that? The birds don't worry. And in verse 30, the last four words or five words are, oh ye of little faith.
[18:39] You can't make yourself taller. God decided how tall you would be. If we would but trust him, then he would provide all that we need. He takes care of plants and animals.
[18:49] What makes us think that he can't take care of us? Really, the worry is about us not trusting him, not focusing on him, not holding on to him, not loving him.
[19:01] He wants to be the sinner. He said, where's your money? Where's your eye? Where's your heart? Where's your thoughts? I want to be first. We worry about the wrong things.
[19:12] Look at verse 31. Underline, take no thought. He says, therefore, take no thought, saying, what are we going to eat? What are we going to drink? What are we going to wear? Don't think about that.
[19:24] Our real concern should be love for him. We should be focused on him and his work, not ourselves. Everybody in the world is worried about the same things.
[19:35] But we can have confidence that he will take care of us. Because everybody's worried about food and clothing and houses and cars and retirement and future.
[19:46] In Matthew 6, 34, he says, don't even worry about what might happen tomorrow. In Matthew 6, 34, he said, take, therefore, no thought. Underline that. No thought. Take no thought for tomorrow.
[19:58] Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't be concerned about what's going to happen tomorrow. Because tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof.
[20:08] We're not to worry about today and what will happen to us. We're not to worry about our physical concerns. We're not to worry about our future either. We're to focus on loving Jesus today and seeking his will and know that all of it will take care of itself.
[20:25] He will take care of us. That brings me to chapter 6, verse 32. He's preaching. I want you to go with me through his sermon. He's going to change subjects in a minute. And next week we'll be on judging people.
[20:38] But in this message he says, hey, where's your treasure? Where you put your money? You got your money in a 401k? Hey, a guy up in New York could run off with it.
[20:48] Don't be worried about money. He says, hey, by the way, where's your eye? Are your eyes focused on me? Oh, by the way, is your heart focused on me? Do you love me? Oh, by the way, are you thinking about me?
[21:00] And then he comes to the time he wants to say to us, watch this. I'm going to take care of all these things. It's not that God's up in heaven saying, no, you guys go around and don't have any stuff. It's that he wants you to know I'm the source.
[21:12] I'm the power. I'm the one that's going to work in your life. Hey, treasure. Don't worry about treasure. Just give it to me. I'll take care of you. Hey, don't worry about your eyes. Look at me. I'll take care of it. Hey, put your heart on me.
[21:22] I'll take care of it. Hey, put your thoughts on me. I'll take care of it. I want to be number one with you. Look at what he says in Matthew 6, 32. For after all these things do the Gentiles seek.
[21:34] Underline all these things. You see, verse 32, he said, let me sum it up. Y'all are worried about the same stuff Gentiles are worried about. You might take a pencil, mark around the word Gentiles, go to the margin, write the word pagan.
[21:47] Because that's who he's talking about. He said, the pagans, the people that don't know God, they worry about the same stuff. They worry about the same stuff you do. You know what a pagan thinks about all the time?
[21:58] Where's my treasure? You know what a pagan's looking at? Himself and what he can do. You know what a pagan's loving? His money and his stuff. You know what a pagan's thinking about? Himself.
[22:09] He said, y'all don't need to be thinking about that. Think about me. Because lost people are thinking about all these things. Look at, if you would, at the verse 32. You've got your Bible open. I want you to circle the word need.
[22:20] If your Bible's circling the word need. He says, after all these things do the Gentiles seek, but your heavenly Father knows that you have need. Need. You know, God's not up in heaven saying, they don't need to eat.
[22:33] They don't need clothes. They don't need protection for their future. That's not what he's thinking at all. He said, your Father knows you have, what's the word? Would you help me? Your Father knows you have need.
[22:44] He knows you have need. Of what? Look at it. Underline it. All these things. You should underline all these things two times in that verse. Everybody thinks about all these things. But your Father knows you need all these things.
[22:57] And then look what he promises you in Matthew 6.33. In Matthew 6.33 he says, But seek first the King of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
[23:08] That's the clincher for this passage of scripture. Hey, I'm going to take care of you. I take care of birds and bees and plants and trees, and I take care of animals, and I take care of flowers, and I take care of the whole thing.
[23:27] So why don't you all focus on me? Where's your treasure? Where's your treasure? He said, put it in heaven, because I can take care of it. You're not that good at taking care of it.
[23:38] That fancy new car you got is going to get old. That house you got is going to need repair. Hey, that money you put in the bank is going to lose value. Where's your treasure? Put it with me.
[23:49] I'll take care of you. And then he says, Hey, what are you looking at? What are you focused on? I want you focused on me. I want you to wake up in the morning and say, God, I love you, and you're in charge, and I'm serving you.
[24:00] You're the goal of my life. I'm looking at you. My body will be full of light, because I'm focused on him. And then he said, Hey, who do you love? Do you love money, or do you love me? I want you to love me, he said. He said, I want you to put your treasure with me.
[24:12] I want you to look at me, and I want you to love me, and I want you to think about me. I don't know if you get it. He's going, I'm God, and I'd like you all to think about me. I think you say amen right there. That's the God of heaven.
[24:22] That's what he's saying. And then he says, And I know what you're all thinking, but you might not take care of us. And he goes, What? You're insulting me? Pagans want all these things. I know you need all these things.
[24:33] And if you just put me first, I'll take care of all these things. That's a pretty good passage of scripture. Can you say amen? That's a pretty good passage of scripture. You're over here saying, Man, I just don't know.
[24:44] I hope Maddox don't make off of my money. That's what you're worried about. Over here on your treasure. And then you're over here saying, I've got to focus on this, and the reason I live is my children, and the reason I live is my money.
[24:55] The reason I live is all these things I have. He said, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No. Look at me. Look at me. And then he said, Hey, You've got to choose. You're going to love me. You're going to love something else. Love me. Love me.
[25:06] Love me. And he said, Hey, Don't be thinking about all that. Don't be worried about it. Take no thought for these things. And then he says, But let me remind you, I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to take care of you. That's a powerful verse.
[25:19] You can trust him to take care of you. You may wake up tomorrow and find out some horrible disease that's hit your family. You may wake up tomorrow and find out you are some kind of special pressure.
[25:32] You may wake up tomorrow and find out the market has fallen apart. You may wake up tomorrow and find out the American government has fallen apart. You can't trust things to always be the same. You can't trust one person to be the same.
[25:47] That's the God of heaven. You can trust the God of heaven. That's what he wants you to get a hold of this morning. Who are you thinking about? So let me run through it one more time and I'm finished.
[25:58] You ready? Where's your treasure? Here's what he's saying. I'm so good to you. Won't you trust me with your treasure? That's not a way to try to get you to give big offerings.
[26:10] That's not a way to try to manipulate or force you to give big offerings. It's a way to get you to say, he's worth it. He's worth it. He's worth more than any of the money you got.
[26:22] He's worth it. And the second thing you talk about was your eye. Is your eye focused? Are you looking at one thing and one person? Because the whole passage, I don't know if you've noticed it, it's every part of this book, every part of Matthew 6, 19 through 34 is choose one or the other.
[26:37] Treasure in the world, treasure in heaven. Eye, light or darkness. Hey, heart, God or money. Hey, thoughts, your stuff or my stuff. And I know that I will take care of you.
[26:49] So today, if you're not saved, you're not born again, there's only one person who can save you. And if you are saved, there's only one person who makes your life worth living, and that's Jesus.
[27:00] You don't love God because things are going good. I thought Steve chose very well the song he sang when he said, do we only love him when it's going well for us? Do we only love him when everything's great or do we love him when things are bad?
[27:15] Because he's been good to us. He's been good to us. So you can trust him right where you are in your life today.
[27:25] Are you hurting? Are you hurting? Are you in special need? Only one loves you like he loves you. That's him. No one else. Are you hurting financially?
[27:38] Put your treasure with Jesus. Are you full of confusion and frustration? Focus on Jesus. Do you have a divided heart and can't figure out who to love? Love God, not your money.
[27:50] Are you all worried and preoccupied about everything going on? It's a scary world to live in. I always find it funny. I hear some young people talk today and they say the world is so bad. I just don't know if we ought to bring children into a world like this.
[28:02] And I say to them, that's what they said 40 years ago when I had kids. I think they'll be saying that again 40 more years from now. But see, I got something stable in all of this. It's the Lord Jesus Christ.
[28:13] Do you know him? If you die today, do you know you go to heaven? Do you have a relationship with him? Because you see in Matthew 6 when he says your heavenly father knows you have need of these things, he's got to be your heavenly father.
[28:26] The promise isn't for everybody. The promise is for a person who's been born again into the family of God, a person who knows God. Is he your heavenly father? Do you know that you came to a place in your life that you realized you were a sinner and you deserved hell and you trusted Jesus?
[28:41] If you haven't, today's your day. Trust Jesus. And if you have, trust Jesus. Trust Jesus. Father in heaven, I love you.
[28:52] And I thank you for the chance to take your word and open it for your people. And I pray, God, that you'd work today and I pray you'd magnify yourself. I pray, God, that somebody today might be saved, that today might be the day they would trust you and what you do on the cross of Calvary.
[29:06] And they let us take the time to show from the Bible how to be saved. I pray you'd work in that. And I pray some Christians today, God, might focus on you and decide that you are worth it all and they would trust you.
[29:17] And I pray, dear God, that you'd give us peace to go home today knowing that we can trust you and love you. This message was recorded at Vision Baptist Church in Alfred, Georgia.
