Paul starts this section with why it is right to be thankful to God, and demonstrates thankfulness is His prayer for the Ephesians.
Thankfulness to God is difficult when we collide with His Governance.
1) Thankful for their faith in God and love for each other; their transformation isn't over.
2) This type of change requires prayer; God is the source of the change.
3) There are no competing authorities, Jesus is ruler over all.
4) Ephesians decisively repented and ceased profiting from unrighteousness.
5) Implication vs application.
The church needs prayed for more.
Change that brings God praise starts with God.
