Our modern culture teaches that life is not valuable and seeks to destroy it. Whether it be an unborn baby in the womb, an elderly person in their last days, or anyone in between, the message is the same: you are here by a cosmic accident and there is no true purpose to your life.
The Bible teaches exactly the opposite. It asserts that human life is valuable because we are created in the image of God. Though we are fallen due to our sin, our Creator God is also our Redeemer God, Jesus Christ. He took the penalty of sin on the Cross and offers eternal life to those who call on Him, believing that He died and was raised again.
Sanctity of Life Sunday is a particular day set aside each year to remind the world that they are valuable, they are loved, and there is hope in Jesus Christ.
