Get started with Yet Another Sermon Host

Create an account and church, start your trial, and reach the sermon editor for the first time.

If someone has invited you to an existing church, use the email address on the invitation instead of creating another church. See invite users and manage roles.

1. Create an account

Open Create an Account.

You can sign up in either of these ways:

  • Email and password: Enter your email and enter the same password in both password fields. Select Create Account, then open the verification message sent to your email address and confirm it.
  • Google: Select Sign in with Google, choose the Google account you want to use, and approve sign-in.

If you already have an account, open Sign In. The login page accepts Google or the email and password used at signup.

2. Create the church

After signup, Yet Another Sermon Host opens New Church.

  1. Enter the public Name of the church or organisation.
  2. Enter a short, recognisable Short name. This becomes part of the standard public and management URLs, so choose it carefully.
  3. Select Sign up.
The New Church step with Name and Short name fields in the onboarding checklist

The person who creates the church becomes its first Admin. One account can manage more than one church, but create another only when it needs a separate sermon library and settings.

3. Verify the email address

If you used email and password, open the verification email and follow its confirmation link. Check the spam folder if it is missing. The trial cannot start until the account email is verified.

Return to the onboarding page after verification.

4. Start the free trial

The trial lasts 30 days and does not require a payment card to start.

  1. Choose Currency: USD or GBP.
  2. Choose Billing Interval: Monthly or Annual. Paying annually gets you one month free.
  3. Select Start Trial.

The choices set how the church would be billed after the trial. An Admin can review billing and add a payment method later under Billing.

5. Check the initial settings

Before publishing, you can check out some settings:

  • Settings > General: Confirm the church name, timezone, Bible version, public language, and automated transcriptions choice.
  • Settings > Images: Add a logo and a default sermon image if available.
  • Settings > Theme: Preview the public layouts with your content. You can return after adding a sermon.
  • Settings > Labels: Change Sermon, Preacher, Series, or Playlist only if your church uses different terminology.
  • Users and Invites: Invite anyone else who will upload or review content and give them the least access they need.

Podcast details and a custom domain can wait until the first sermon is live.

6. Publish the first sermon

Go to New Sermon. Add a title and date, upload the MP3, add the preacher, series, and passage if available, then save and publish.

Follow the complete create and publish a sermon guide for more information.

After publishing, select Public View and play the sermon as a listener would.

Moving an existing archive

If your sermons are already hosted elsewhere, do not start uploading them one by one. We will very happily import your archive for you, free of charge, so just get in touch by email: admin@yetanothersermon.host.

Include the existing public or RSS address and a rough idea of how many sermons need moving.

If this did not work

  • The verification email is missing: Check spam, confirm the address was typed correctly, and use the resend option on the verification page.
  • Google sign-in uses the wrong account: Sign out and repeat the process, choosing the account that should manage the church.
  • The trial page still asks for verification: Complete verification for the signed-in email, then reload the page.
  • You meant to join an existing church: Sign in with the invited email and open the church picker instead of creating a new church.
  • You cannot create or edit a sermon: Confirm that the trial started and that there is no billing warning on the sermon editor.
